New Member Photo Gallery

A number of members expressed an interest in sharing digital photographs on the message forum. While it is possible to share the pictures in your posts, a much better approach is a member photo gallery!

We have installed a member photo gallery based on the popular 'Coppermine' photo gallery. It has alot of features including member albums, slideshows, public and private albums, photo ecards and much more!

Our Photo Gallery is available to view by all members and guests. Members who have less than 200 posts receive 1 megabyte of photo storage. Members who have 200 or more posts and have chosen one of the individual Celtic Nations groups receive 5 megabytes.

To access the photo gallery, use the links in our member services or community drop down menu. There is also an 'icon' link in our message forums too.

A few tips:

- Make sure that you create a photo album before you begin uploading your pictures!

- The file name of the photograph must not contain any spaces.

We will be using the Photo Gallery in the future to post pictures of Highland Games, Concerts, Musicians, etc.

Very nice option but if you want to rate the picture and leave a comment, type your comment first, then rate it. If you rate it first, it doesn't give you time to type your comment.

What exactly is a Celtic-match.com?

Just a quicky on this new member photo albums. We now have a random image being displayed on our community homepage from the album. So, this gives our members way to get some of their photo's more recognition.

And, I am seriously thinking on having a photo contest. We have been piling up free CD's to giveaway and it may take a few years to give them all away at having only 1 contest a month!

I am thinking on 3 CD's to give away. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. All photos must be original and taken by yourself. I have not thought about judges or if we use the 'rating' that is available in the photo system. Most likely this contest will run for a month, no exact date yet, but soon. Just thought I would let you know in case you want to get some photos in there!
