Greetings to everyone!
Hi J P. thanks for your concern.

In short, the wonderful answer is I feel brilliant!

My cuts have healed, rolleyes.gif the bruising is all gone smile.gif - I'm a great believer in Arnica ointment and all the bruising cleared rapidly - and now that I'm back on foot I'm walking I suppose about 20km a day minimum.

The car isn't well and it might end up being written off. sad.gif

I hope everyone out there is well and that you are all having good Summer weather.

Love and peace to all

Bail ó Dhia oraibh! Greetings everyone!

This is to say Hello and let you know that I am alive and kicking.

This last year has been a great test for me, losing my job through my integrity did not help, and has meant that I have struggled to keep a roof over my head.

At last I have found a little cottage, and though a long way from any online centres I have managed to get to the library and use one of their computers for a session.

By rights I should have been called last week but The Lord decided to spare me.

I had been out watching Wedge-tailed Eagles last Tuesday, and when the car was going down a fairly steep hill the brakes failed.

I knew it wasn’t going to be nice and as I went into a sharp right-hander I simply prayed “God help me…Bless my friends!”

The car rolled twice and the front side windows came in.

All I saw was this beautiful slow motion kaleidoscope of shattering glass with beautiful visions of my nearest, dearest and closest all looking at me, holding out their arms to me.

The car landed upright and I felt myself thinking I might be paralysed. I opened the door, got out saw I’d a nicked vein on my right ankle and dressed it with my first ais kit. A few grazes above my left knee on the inside of my thigh, two shallow cuts on my skull and that was that. I dressed the wounds and walked home, about 4kms.

My toilet visit was all clear, and I sat there waiting for the shock to set in, (I’m a fully qualified first aider).

So eventually I had a shower and got ready for my evening shift at work, 23 kms away.

I have used arnica cream to bring out the bruising and now feel brilliant. I manage to get lifts to and from work part of the way but hey, I’ve walked all my life and am living in a beautiful area to have to walk.

I will write and explain about what happened with my workplace incident, but I just wanted to share with you what I believe to be Divine Intervention and nothing less than a miracle.

I’ll write soon,

All love and peace as ever,

Brian x

Beannachtaí!

Hope this finds everyone well. Sorry I haven’t been on for a while, when I’m working I’m very busy and on my time off I get out and about in the mountains or maybe go and play some music…for years people used to ask why I never got round to recording an album and I would say I was too busy playing!

We had hurricane winds here in Tassie the week before last, it was awesome. When I lived on the island of Lundy in the Atlantic there were 2 hurricanes there too!

I marvel at all the power of Creation and in a way am moved by the whole event; I’ve just read that and I don’t mean moved like be blown over ha ha!

I’m just having a quick break so I won’t be able to write much more.

Keep well everyone,

All love and peace, Brian x

Hello everybody!

It’s a little late here in Tassie, (started work at 5.45am, 10pm now!) and I’m heading off for some zzzzzzzzz.s

Where I am and what I do is fan & funtastic, but today would have been a little bit sweeter with a bit if latitude.

I’ll be flying out to Hobart tomorrow, got some recording to do and then play on the opening night of the Hobart Fleadh on Friday.

I’m looking forward to that, as I’ll be playing with one of my best friends with whom I’ve done a few Youtube recordings.

So when I close here I’m off to have a good night’s sleep!

Love & peace to everyone

Brian x

PS My lovely team of staff kept a brilliant secret and made me a beautiful cake to celebrate my special day!

Greetings everyone! It's lovely to be back, have been very busy.

Sorry to hear of illnesses, job searching and cold cold weather and scorpions.

I'm still waiting for my new (? If ever?) computer at work which I've been told I can use in my own time, but tomorrow is a day which never comes...

Oh, by the way work is okay. It's more a challenge than I thought. A lot of the people there have low esteem. Some seemed quite surprised when I thanked them for a good job well done! I just pray that something so simple might turn things round.

Mentions of Lent and Mardi Gras...I was born on a Shrove Tuesday but that doesn't happen very often. I do LOVE the fact that so many people here have a faith. It's very reassuring.

All love and peace as ever,

Hey Mike! That's right! He was really big. There was a player also stood out for me, like one of those who made all those touch downs, but I can't think of his team. Walter? Painton?Payton? But he seemed to die too young if my memory is working properly.

Want to know something funny/strange? When we moved house when I was young our new house was already called "Padua". I know all about him and the other saints. I still carry a St. Christopher on my keyring and I don't care if he was relegated by Rome. He'll do for me!

All best wishes in your jobsearch. I don't say luck because that's something you make yourself. Keep well, and your head up!

On a general note we had an incredible rainfall here in Tasmania today. Oh believe me, heavy rain and was it ever needed. The farmers here have had it tough, not as much as the mainland but tough all the same. It's just in time for apple growers and it'll make the fruit swell Nature's way and not by the spraying from the dams. They got hammered at blossom time with the latest frosts ever, and half the crop expectations were wiped out.

I hope everyone is well and having a good weekend,

Bye and tunzaluv!

Beannachtaí! Bail ó Dhia oraibh! Greetings to everyone!

I’ve been very busy and am just catching up. Reading your recent posts has been illuminating to say the least and certainly covers the gamut of emotions.

It has been a similar time for me and I might share a little here.

Just before Christmas I’d had the rough end in my job, and I was stranded and worried. I got through that period not but was worried about getting into debt. I sort of invented a managerial post for myself when I walked into a shop where I saw a sign asking for an assistant and I’ve been in my position for three weeks now.

The downside is that at the end of my second week someone, maybe an employee and maybe not, entered my office and walked out with my camera bag! In it were two cameras, one with a 100-300mm telephoto lens and the other with a 28-80mm macro lens, and other sundries. Sadly two rolls of undeveloped film were included which I know had fantastic shots of birds feeding their young in nests!

Even worse…in the side pouch were my passport and birth certificate!

Total cost for replacement AUS$2,247 and I didn’t have insurance. The company is investigating if their policies might cover me.

The loss hurts but even more is that some low life exploits other people’s postive natures. I noticed immediately that management had an open door policy and when I was handed my keys I followed suit, and that action has been defiled and I have been invaded so to speak. sad.gif

Celtic Rose I feel so much for you and the fraud with your credit card. It’s similar isn’t it? Some else getting things at your expense. And then your mishap with the car. I hope things get better!

Whilst mentioning jobs Mike F and Roberto, and anyone else in that situation, I have been thinking of you and praying for success for you. I’ve been along that road many, many times and it isn’t nice!

Mike and others, I don’t have a team I support in American Football but I do remember that the Bears had a big player back in the 80s called “The Fridge” Was he someone Perry?

I’ve lived most of my life without a TV but where I was living there was a pub which had some of the newer channels and I watched a number of games including a couple of Superbowls. As a spectacle I found it a fascinating experience. I do think the commercial breaks are too many, but the one thing I noticed was that the spectator facilities were and are brilliant. I saw that too when America embraced Soccer. The grounds and facilities were so far ahead of those in Britain.

Keltic I saw in your profile that you are a McPherson. Are you related to any of the McPhersons from around Carlisle in Cumbria, England. The city, over the years, was in Scotland or England depending on battles, but now it is in England and has the nickname of the Border City. Anyway I knew and played with a very fine Scottish fiddle player called James McPherson. Maybe you’re related.

Hey Dreamer you’ve made me feel ok! I leave my Christmas cards up for ages. It’s so lovely to look at them and the messages. I think that those greetings, thoughts and prayers last forever and not just for the 12 days of Christmas. So why take down and put away such beautiful thoughts?

Valpal I hope your Cody is fine. Likewise for all of you animal lovers and guardians! I’ve only had one dog, but have looked after hundreds, and other animals, for other people. I’m looking after more animals at the moment for people who are away on holidays. I don’t charge them for it; I do it because it’s a good thing to do and sure beats kennels and such like. I literally “interview” the animals be they cows, sheep, horses, dogs or cats or whatever so that they get my scent, voice and it’s not a shock when I just roll up! I’ve made many animal friends that way and they don’t forget!

Rindy I hope your absence is maybe pleasure or work, and not that you are ill or anything of a negative nature.

Must close here. All love and peace to everyone.

Greetings of Peace and Expectation!

We've celebrated a wonderful gift to us all, this Christmas, and now there is an added urgency as the New Year approaches and our thoughts and wishes turn, as the year, to things positive.

I hope all is well with your family and pray all the time that success with the treatment is ongoing.

Just as so many here are praying too.

With every good wish and intercession for this coming year,

Greetings to one and all!

One of the wonderful things about this site is the "humanity". We live in such a tecnological and urgent age that many of the finer things, the ordinariness of people escapes us and is shot off into space.

When I first found you all, I was touched by that feeling of compassion and care which is so eveident, and as I have read through and caught up with all that I had missed during the last months it struck me more poignantly how people here do care, and maintain that sense of loyalty and friendship.

I feel very proud to be part of such a group of people.

For those of you who have suffered, and there have been some really sad events, then please know you are especially in my prayers...prayers of hope that dark shadows don't hide the Light and Goodness emanating from The One who is there to guide and help us all, prayers that for those who have lost their dear one this approaching Christmas time will not be so much missing, but rather fond remembering. I have had to tread this part of the journey myself and would hope that I might offer some support and comfort if anyone needs it.

It's great to get caught up in the preparations for Christmas, and I'm sure there are going to be some very beautiful dwellings shortly, if not already.

There's nothing seasonal here in Tasmania. The weather has been so up and down, it's very cold for the beginning of Summer...we might even get a white Christmas!

There have been some serious bushfires already, and one came quite close to where I live; thank God, we had an abnormal wind which came from the "wrong" direction and the fire just burned through forest. Had it been from the Southwest as normal, Hobart would have been very charred and blackened.

My music is going okay...that means I love it as passionately as ever, and I'm now teaching myself the violin, so BTF might mean Brian the Flute...or Brian the Fiddle! Ha Ha!

Must close here, keep well everyone and God Bless!

All love and peace, Brian x x x smile.gif

I would just wish you all a fabulous, happy and peaceful Thanksgiving, and may you all be blessed with closeness, warmth and health.

A chairde, Dia daoibh! Hello there!

I just looked at the date and thought that this is a very sad day in world history.

Those terrifying eventst shaped a world that none of us dreamt of, and for many of you, dear friends, it must have touched in ways beyond comprehension.

I cannott write anything that will ease any pain or suffering you might have gone, still are going through, except that you will all be in my thoughts and prayers today.

All love and peace, Brian x

Bail o Dhia oraibh! Greetings everyone!

I've really missed writing to you all, lots to tell, save that it has been a very difficult time and I've had no access to a computer, and at the moment no real prospect either.

I HAVE read all the posts since I last visited and first I must send my prayers and best wishes for those of you, and loved ones who are not well. It seems like some of you are having a very rough time.

I can't stay on but will try to write properly soon.

All love and peace to you, God Bless!
