'Hope guides me. It is what gets me through the day, and especially the night.' -- A Knight's Tale "I talk to you as I talk to my own soul...and, Sassenach,” he whispered, “your face is my heart.” -- Jamie Fraser, "Dragonfly In Amber" by Diana Gabaldon @Dremnghrt on Twitter, Dreamnghrt on tumblr - come say Hi!
Wow! This thread is bringing back memories.... B-52s, Iggy Pop (seen him live 4 times and hung out with him a couple of times). Anyways, just picked up an old Social Distortion CD today in keeping with going down memory lane. Just finished listening to it.
BTW, Motorhead was fantastic and is still one of the loudest bands on this earth!!! Lemmy hasn't aged one bit!! The merits of pickling oneself!!
CR, that is a little strange, I heard that song too. I am listening to Highlander Radio, Roma Downey- Healing Angel, I love that CD..it makes me cry.. but I like it the more I hear it..
Keltic, good to see you. Thats what I was thinking, haven't heard a song from Twisted Sister in awhile..
Rindy, I was listening to Highlander radio when The Stamping Ground by Runrig came on! Now I am listening to the sound of the television and hubby snoring in his chair.
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Aerosmith has a couple of greatest hits albums out there. The one I have (the second CD I ever bought) is from their early days with Columbia but doesn't have "Mama Kin" on it. Another one, "Big Ones", is from their Geffen recordings. Here's the one I'd recommend:
Ooh thanks so much, Mike! I had no idea they had two greatest hits CDs! And the one you recommended has my two faves, Sweet Emotion and Janie's Got a Gun! Yay! If I don't find it at Wally World this week, I will probably end up ordering through Amazon.........my third order from this this week!
I have iTunes and saw your list. Does that mean I can also listen to your list? I don't know how to use iTunes but do have it in my system. I love the B52's!
Brolum's The Fair Face I Never Saw, before that it was Loud by Wicked Tinker, which followed Landmarks by Clannad, which followed The Best of Gene Pitney.
A nice mix
