April 6 is just weeks away, so don't forget to help promote the little-known National Tartan Day in the US and Canada. Since this day marks the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320, there's of course nothing to prevent anyone else from celebrating it as well. Although that document had direct impact on Scotland, the philosophies within have influenced much of the world.
In the US, the following date is also important: the 75'th anniversary of the modification of the Volstead Act, which made beer legal near the end of Prohibition. http://beertown.org/apps/75yearsofbeer/
Both are cause for celebration. (yes, I'll use any excuse I can find!)
I have two modes: wiseass and dumbass. Mode is determined by current blood alcohol level.
Drinking is a sport. In order to be competitive, you must practice on a regular basis. Although you can practice alone, it is much more fun to practice with friends. If you're out of shape and practice too hard, you will regret it the next day.
Life is a disease. It is sexually transmitted and always terminal.
subhuman; This is entirely possible because up until DeGaulle was President, under the terms of the "Auld Alliance" a citizen of Scotland was a citizen of France and vice versa.
Q: What's the difference between a Scotsman and a Rolling Stone? A: A Rolling Stone says "hey you, get off of my cloud!", while a Scotsman says "Hey McLeod, get off of my ewe!"
I went up to the Duluth, MN mall today and they had the Shriners pipe and drum band (about 12 pipers) playing up and down the main mall walkway all day. Took me by surprise for a second bt it was nice to watch them and give them a bit of applause when they finished. Not to mention I kinda snuck my "Scotland the Brave" ringtone on to give them a bit of a hint!

Wish I had a tartan to wear. My clan is Kneeland, Stuart, and William Wallace is a great uncle. RebeccaAnn
Lass you are able then to wear several different Tartans, bit if you are of the Royal Stewart lineage that would be the one I recommend. And BTW if ye be kin tae the Wallace yer distant kin tae the Cathcarts, as Edward Wallace (William's Brother) was married to a Cathcart. When Edward died childless the Sundrum Castle became a holding of the Cathcart Clan, and in the castle is the Sword of William Wallace to this day!
