Celtic Radio Community > Celtic Radio > Top 100 Requests

Posted by: Macfive 17-Oct-2004, 02:33 PM
We have added a new radio page that displays the top 100 requests of all time. Since we are just starting this new page up today, we will not be deleting request data as we do normally each week. Therefore, there is only 1 weeks worth of data in our database.

Going forward, the Top 10 requests will be for the past 7 days on a rolling basis.

Enjoy!

just a note. I really like the top 100 requests. I had got in a rut - requesting the same songs over and over. now I look at the 100 and pick favorite that I haven't heard in a while. thanks

Ok, who's the person who likes Aselin Debison?

She's got a good voice, but I just don't like any of her songs.

Just out of curiosity, how is one request defined? I know there's some songs that I request everyday that only show as having been requested once or twice.

The logical for the request system is a secret! wink.gif If a member requests a song 25 times during the week, that does not translate into 25 votes.

Wow, I just discovered I had a 7 day limitation on the top 100 requests! I have fixed this so it now shows all requests that have ever been requested (or atleast in the past few weeks when we started this!)

Paul, is there any chance of creating an easy way to request a song off the top 100 by clicking on a button, or the album?

But that would unfairly weight the process of the Top 100. If you make it easier to request a top 100, then people will just go there, rather than look for a song they like from the complete list. Pardon me if that didn't make sense...hehe. biggrin.gif rolleyes.gif

Makes perfect sense, actually. I even thought about that myself afterwards...but it's not like it's the Billboard top 100. smile.gif

I would like to be able to request a song directly from the top 100 list.

If it is possible to limit only one pick per hour from the top 100 list to help balance the list.
