05/04/08;
We in Canada have lost another young warrior. This I hope salutes all the men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice.

A bond exist that
Will not break
Between these brothers
Forged in War
Tempered in the
Fire and Smoke
Annealed within the
Blood of Wounds
A form of Love
As stong as life
Born midst chaos
Fear and Strife
Born amongst the
Sounds of Death
Washed pure and clean
By sorrows tears.
On side of right
Or side of wrong
These men who answered
Dutys' call
And placed their lives
In way of Harm
Fought not for Country
Nor for King
But for his Brother
By whose side
He Stood or Fell
He Lived or Died
And now the years
Slip fast away
The memory fresh
As Yesterday
The Tear stained Face
The Uttered Sigh
The Hand held Fast
The Last Goodbye.

You could twist my arm and I won’t cry, but words like these bring welled up eyes.
Thanks, JC

Hey J.C.
Thank you. This last death even brought tears to the eyes of the News Anchorman.

Dear Camac,
This poem is very deep and moving. It talks of courage and honor which is a rare quality these days. Please write some more for I just love to read poems for they come from the most intelligent minds.LOA

LOA

Thank you again;

You say my poem speaks of Courage and Honour. Let me say this : There is no Honour in War unless the Enemy is Honourable. The last honourable Muslim General that I have heard about was Saladin in the 3rd Crusade. These so call Warriors of Islam, today would do well to emmulate him.

Well yes I know about this great warrior Saladin but he was cruel as well as his enemies. Unfortunately, like you say even though I did lot live it to know it, during wartime honour and values disapear and madness take its place.
But these so called warriors of Islam today as they called themselves are,in my eyes "warriors of cowardness" nothing else. They want look so brave and mighty with their guns and all but they hide their faces and themselves in holes like rats.
But still I want to believe that honor and courage still exist today.
And by reading great poems written by men like you I know it still does.LOA

What a emotional poem. Very moving. A friend of the family is off to New Hampshire to give the flag to the family of the soldier that were lost in this war. So sad. Thank you for writing this wonderful poem.
