We are going to try something new to make our broadcast more interactive.

Tonight, we released our Live Call In Line! The idea behind this is to give our listeners a voice on our broadcast. This is your chance to call in and record a message that will be played at various times during the week.

Rebecca has already recorded the scripts for this listener segment that will play a number of times throughout the day. She has also recorded a special script for our voice mail box. All of the details can be found here:

Ich wird nicht wissen, was zu sagen smile.gif

Also scared of hearing myself recorded. it'd probably have to be anonymous for now.
About to treally have to change that though (the fear of being recorded)

Paul,
Can you give us an idea of the best times during the day to listen for any messages? I'd love to hear them, but am not always able to listen for prolonged periods. If I knew which times were best, I'd make a point to tune in then. (Oh please, twist my arm! laugh.gif walkman.gif )

We have received a few calls - thank you! - but not enough yet to be able to rotate into the broadcast.

I am hoping by the first of the year to have atleast 25 + call ins so we can have some rotation in the call in program. It will only be 3-4 at a time probably 4 times a day.

No don't make me offer free CDs and Tshirts for callins! biggrin.gif

AWESOME idea MacFive! I will have to rack my brain to come up with something really witty! I asume you were looking for some sort of plug or endorsement of the station?

The live call in line can be ANY message you want on the broadcast. Not neceessarily a plug for Highlander Radio. A message to someone or just a shout who you are and why you listen. Whatever you like!

We've received a few messages, but I would like to have atleast 20 messages before we begin playing them on the broadcast.

Charlie Zahm contacted me in 2002 about getting some of his music on the broadcast and featured. Well, a year later I finally got the feature up.

Point made is that while I am slow in accomplishing things on the site, I do eventually get them done! biggrin.gif

Last weekend I purchased a special piece of hardware from Radio Shack that will allow us to record your messages (left on our live call in line) for rebroadcast!

Perhaps another month we should have these on our broadcast with Rebecca. Just wanted to remind everyone of this feature. So, if you left a message expect to hear yourself on our broadcast soon!
