2 corned beefs in large pot add 2 bottles Guiness Stout, 2 cups water, place in 1small clove garlic, 4 large onions,
Bring all to a boil,cover lower to a simmer then let it cook all day on simmer till you can just get fork through.
In same pot place 2 heads of cabbage cut into quaters 6 potatos cut in 1/2 let cook with meat until fork can go through potatoes and meat.
remove meat from pot let rest 5 mins. cut in slices
Strain broth from pot and serve, With a cold Guiness.and Enjoy the good for.

Cornbeef... fear.gif puke.gif I never liked it. As a kid, when my stepfather made it, my brothers and I would eat so slow by pulling one strand of meat at a time and eating it...waiting for him to leave the table. Once he was gone, we all would rush to the garbage (rubbish) bin and throw it in.

Now you guys have to make me a believer that Cornbeef can be good and tasty. I'm afraid to even try it again! unsure.gif

I have used this recipe many times ( I cut it in half since I am not feeding a crowd ) and it is very tasty. I think I will move this to the top since the high holy day is soon upon us.
