May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
This is an intesting topic. Hmm let me think. I'm not really sure, but if I were to die tomorrow I know I would want me best friend (she has a beautiful voice) to sing whatever song reminds her of me. I have always loved Sarah McLachlan's I Will Remember You.
And I remembered this poem I really liked. A Hopi Prayer by Mary E. Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet white doves in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die.

Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson If you judge people you have no time to love them. ~Mother Teresa
I would really like "The Parting Glass" played though. That would be cool.

There's a dear little plant that grows in our Isle Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it; And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile, And with dew from his eye often wet it. It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.
Que restera-t-il de notre sang mêlé au sel, sans trace dans les mémoires ? Une ultime navigation, trompeuse. Et des souvenirs, illuminés d'embruns. Mais condamnés au silence de la mer... Loïc Finaz.
I've thought about this some too. My list: Lift the Wings, from Riverdance Amazing Grace, by about 300 pipers and drummers! Memories, from Cats O tho Fount of Every Blessing, traditional
"Always look on the Bright Side of Life" by Monty Python.
If that fails, throw in some pipers, a little Barleyjuice, a lot of Guinness, MacLellan's 18 year whisky, and some Drambuie. Have a big ol' Ceildh in my honour and make sure the pleats of the kilts are swinging, and I promise not to haunt you

Brother Mike's list works for me (though in addition to the music I've requested a friend of mine, if he out lasts me, to attach a "I'd rather be sailing" bumper sticker to my coffin and replace the word sailing with the word breathing ).
