I have a question of the other sex. Why is it that when the day is done and couples go to bed, it is then that the wife, or lover wants to talk.? Beds were not designed with talking in mind.

I have a comment (not bad) but will let the other gender reply.

It depends on what you define as "talk". If it is a subject that needs to be "discussed" aka "argued" about, my husband and I do not allow that in the bedroom. Darn, the bedroom door really gives a good slam too.

But today, I think couples have such brief moments of quiet and calm that we tend to grab anytime we have together and try to re-establish those magic moments.

flora;

This I can understand but when my ex and I were to-gether and went to bed at 11:00pm and I had to get up at 5:00am I just wanted to sleep but she wanted to talk about the days happenings and if I dozed off she would get really annoyed. That's what I'm asking about.

From where I know this situation? rolleyes.gif If the day was truly exhausting and I still want to do one thing only - even sleep - I can be sure there is starting something that should be a dialogue. Mostly that will be a monologue only - and the finish of that I still never noticed...
To start the following day is then a bit more difficult... wink.gif

Tis a shame we wait till the end of the day to reconnect. I feel we shortchange the family when we don't have a sit down dinner at the end of the day and everyone, including the children, talks about their day. With today's health issues, experts suggest your biggest meal should be breakfast then each meal smaller as the day goes by. By the time children are out of school, then there is soccer, baseball, homework, etc., you hardly have time to prepare a meal. I can easily see why women try to talk when everything is done for the day. Maybe if men would make an effort to talk earlier in the day, the ladies would not keep them up past their bedtime. sleep1.gif

Hi flora;

please don't misunderstand me. Of course we speak together - about all the things that happen all the day. We spend a good part of the evening to discuss, to plan something or to blether "only". No problem - we like it and it is always better than the daily garbage in TV...
But when I go to bed, I have the ability to do still one thing only...

Regards

Ingo

Everyone remembers the discussion on hair, right? Have you seen the new "What would you do for a Klondike bar commercial? Picture a very hairy guy getting waxed on the chest. Then since the Klondike has extra chocolate coating now, the wax goes south.

So .... guys what would it take for you to wax south of the belly button?

It certainly wouldn't be an ice cream bar! In reality, there is not enough money anywhere. I can stand a good deal of pain but I do not seek it out!!! You ladies are tough.

How much money is involved?

Here is my question. Forgive me if this has already been asked an answered.

Men can get by with about 4 pairs of shoes. Look in a man's closet and you will see two pairs of gym shoes (one new, one old), a pair of loafers, a pair of dress shoes and a pair of boots. Why do women need 4-5 times the amount of shoes as men?

Well Mike that is the question. How much money would have to be involved? Come on now, commit.

Yes, there has been a discussion about shoes but no problem about asking. I believe you listed 5 sets of shoes, so you are thinking we have between 20 to 25 pairs? Alright girls, how many pairs do you have currently?

Well, depending on where you shop, I can probably buy that ratio on the money guys spend on their shoes. And what is wrong with variety?

About 20 pairs of shoes. You have to have shoes to cover at least 2 seasons, summer and winter, and casual and dress. Several different colors in each style to match wardrobe. Pumps, flats, tennis shoes, sandals, flipflops and boots. wink.gif

You can't pay me enough to wax. tongue.gif
