jawdrop.gif I could not imagine not washing my hair for a decade. Yuck!!!!! I had my cut off a month ago and I love it. Freedom. Haven't had a headache because of the weight of my hair since.

Val I too had headaches from the weight of my hair, but my Dr. told me too french braid it so I started to do that found he knew what he was talking about. It does take a lot of the weight of it and plan on still doing that now. I can't start it at the top but start about in the middle of my head. My grandson was here with me two week-ends ago and couldn't believe I could braid that fast by myself, told him I did long time ago this way. You know I can't braid someone else hair anymore ,can't remember how to do it standing in back of them. haha

I have never been able to French Braid my own hair. Not coordinated enough. I can do someone else's hair with no problem.

I used to suffer headaches from the weight of my hair. I know I don't worry about headaches anymore. lol. (see the paragraph below)

I went in to the same hairdresser, she cut my hair $25.00 got home and hated my hair for 3 days. I then decided to cut it myself. I got it short alright. unsure.gif I pretty much know how it should feel, longer on one side than the other etc. After I was done I thought ok, this feels better.

I have got more complements on my hair than I have in years. Either it looks really bad (which is probably the case) or it looks half way decent. I don't know but I do know it really made me angry. May be the stylist was having a bad day. May be it was something I said. lol.. I guess I will go back to the same one but this time I will say-cut this if it looks or feels too long. And if it doesn't work out may decide to cut my own. lol.gee...

Hope all of you are getting what you want out of your stylist.

Just had mine trimmed today. It has been 6 weeks since I had it cut and it had really grown. It was starting to get to where I couldn't do anything with it. I am really loving the short haircut. thumbs_up.gif

My husband likes for me to cut his hair. I complain and tell him to go get a professional to do it. Well, today he came outside while I was working with electric clippers in his hand. I have always cut his hair with scissors. Let's just say he won't have to get a haircut anytime soon and I don't think I will have to worry about him asking me to cut his hair. Oooppps.

Thats one way to get out of cutting his hair.

Just had mine trimmed yesterday. It's not good for alot of people to be in the salon as there was a big gab fest going on. Too much talking is not good when the stylist has scissors in her hand. LOL Hair is a little shorter than I wanted. Thank goodness it will grow out.

I always get a military crew cut when I go and get a haircut. The lady usually charges $15 to all her customers for basic cuts, but she only charges me $10 because of all that I've been through and still dealing with, plus I guess the fact she only has to use electric trimmers to cut my hair and get the 'crew cut' look. I go quite often too, as my hair grows fast and it only takes two weeks for the crew cut to really start disappearing after I have it cut. I'll probably go and get it cut next week.

I have two indicators that let me know when my hair needs cut. When my eyebrows grow into my line of vision, it is time.

Will admit that thirty-five years ago my hair was half way to my rear end.

I'm trying to envision that. I've seen hair halfway DOWN to somebody's rear end, but halfway UP? You must have really hairy ankles or something. :^)

I never pay for haircuts.

Because I haven't had my hair cut in like five years.

I do take my kids in once in a while, and i think they paid like $10.95.

lol everyone!

This question isn't about a cut but I was wondering if anyone has used temporary highlights sprays that temporarily color your hair? I tried a Jerome Russell brand, I need a lot of practice. lol. I had to laugh one of the cautions it says, "do not spray into eyes" I almost aimed right for them. haha laugh.gif

Has anyone got any tips on how to use this stuff?

Can't help you with this one, Rindy. I have never used it. Just recently started coloring my hair again. Got tired of the gray, so I went back to red.
Be careful using that stuff.

I've got some green spray I sometimes use on St. Patrick's Day, but that's about it. Probably not much help, eh?

valpal I'll bet your beautiful as ever red or gray. Amergin thanks for the help. The can went into the garbage. It made my hair feel awful, it had a terrible odor, and made my head itch like crazy. Other than that it was fine.

Heading for a haircut tomorrow
