After returning from Fla's festival I noticed there were 11 different quizes on the front general discussion page.

What's with dat?

Have we gotten so bored that we have to entertain ourselves with personality quizes instead of talking to each other?

Now I'm not saying they have no entertainment value, they do. But could we have all of the quizes under their own thread?

I know personally I already have a personality disorder! "I'm a crazy redhead"!

And I know we all enjoy them but there are so many now that we don't talk to each other. And not one word remarks either! Boring! Yep this is only my opinion but I'd rather have an intelligent discussion with someone or learn something when we talk to each other.

IF you disagree with my opinion, OK! No problem, but I am ready to really get back to talking to each other or someone teach me something new about the celtic world.

In fact I thought we need a historical thread started. Every week someone could post something to teach or share with all of us that is of historical substance.

My thought was that this forum was for CR related quizzes, not general ones, as Macfive has generated all of them and many had to do with CR business. Maybe we need a "fun quiz" forum, and that is fine. I'm sorry you find them so disturbing, Annabelle. I will volunteer to check with Mac to see about setting up that section so that those who don't like the quizzes won't have to see them right off. I believe Ceciliastar put up a poll a while back asking for folks' opinions on this exact thing, and no one really chimed in in disagreement for keeping them where they were.

I don't personally think they are keeping anyone from talking to each other and getting to know one another, but that is just me. Athalay started sort of a historical thread, if you want to look for that. He gave some great information about Hungary on there, and there isn't any reason not to start a History forum. Go for it, girl! I volunteer Annabelle for the job of moderator of that forum wink.gif

Hey Annabelle, it's all good. We've been talking about this very thing. Macfive has just been really busy. I talked to him about starting a quiz and such forum. I think I might be made moderator (seeing how I'm the one who posts a TON of quizzes, although susieq is close on my tail!). It's in the makings is all I can say.

Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.

I agree on both fronts. All the quizzes in the general discussion area is a little overwhelming, especially with all the other topics in it as well. A new forum for it specifically would be just the thing. The History forum sounds like a great idea, but I have one question about it. Would all the history have to be Celticly related?

God bless crazy redheads. Especially the ones in GA. As for Celtic forums, I have to check them out. I am on an Irish History jones, and I am reading everything I can get my hands on. Happy Thanksgiving.

BTW, I say your new picture! Loved it! Who are the others in the photo?
