I keep hearing stuff by this Irish piper named Davy Spillane (though not on Highlander Radio), so I thought I'd bring him up. He has been around quite awhile. Maybe we could get some of his stuff on the station? I'm really liking it, even though not all of it is very tradtional. Here's his site - http://www.davyspillane.com |

Didn't he appear on the Bryan Adams Unplugged Album? He was playing the Ullean Pipe if I'm not mistaken |

Yes'm he sure did. Appeared on a bunch of stuff apparently and there is an assertion (maybe it's on his own site?) that one of his albums was the 'inspiration' for Riverdance. *shrug* I have to admit, I have a preference for the Uillean pipes over bagpipes. |

Did he tour some years ago with The Chieftains? I seem to recall a Spanish piper at one of their shows in Philadelphia back when I saw them. They were touring with Sarah McLaughlin at the time, oddly enough. |
