I have Bell's Palsey on the right side of my face. It is a forever reminder of spending 30 hours straight at the side of my ex-husband's bedside when he was dying. They have never found the reason for it. I have had it now for four years.

Does anyone else out there have it? What have you tried for it? Does yours get worse at times? I have times when it seems to be worse. These periods are marked by difficulty with speech and keeping my eye open.

I just thought that maybe there were others with the same problem.

My uncle had Bell's Palsy. After about a year it corrected itself. What does your doctor say about it?

The people that I know who have Bell's Palsey seem to have it worse when they are sick. The effects last about a week or so for them. Seeing as it is partial paralysis of the facial nerve, it is tough to treat. Stress has been shown to bring it on. If yours wasn't brought on by physical damage, I would guess (not knowing anything but this post about your health background) that stress is a trigger for you.
