Sounds like we are going to have to get the chain saw out and cut Canada loose from our boundary and send it floating away....
The thought of a powersaw that big, Annie, brings great excitement to my soul.
As for burning down the poor white house again, we wouldn't want to be difficult, or put anyone out. We'll just continue to patronise them by spelling things in English, instead of American. Now THAT is in the true canadian fashion.
Fames win again! 3-0 in Cowtown. Next game is here too, so hopefully it'll work out as it's been going. After the game last night, Calgary fans had a party in the streets, and this morning the clean up crew hauled away 20 tonnes of garbage. And that's after all the bottle pickers came and scavanged. Looks like I missed out on some party.
(you know, I've become increasingly more loyalist since I joined this community, and I haven't the foggiest clue why )

I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."

I think it's a load of bull. The guy hit from behind and got a penalty. End of story. No one was injured. Enough of this borderline severe crap I've been hearing. It's either severe, or it's not. If it wasn't the playoffs, this wouldn't even be an issue.
Point is, he did something wrong, got caught, and was disciplined. Now they want to give him harsher punishment after the fact. It's like stealing a cookie, getting your hand slapped and sent to bed, then the next day getting grounded to your room for the night. Totaly overblown.
Colin Campbell and the rest of the NHL big wigs can kiss my hairy arse.
Oh, and it's Ville Nieminen. (full credit for the spelling correction can go to NHL.com)
Hey, I may have a furry posterior, but you made the assumption that it was fat. And I like the extra growth. Keeps me warm when I'm mooning people in December.
Oldraven, I definitely agree that the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. The refereeing throughout the entire playoffs has been very questionable at times, and this is just another example of it. Though I'm sure they wouldn't have been so quick to jump on him if it hadn't been for the whole Cujo thing in the western division playoffs...
It looks like their star player does best for the team when he gets benched.
Calgary took it again last night 3-2 in overtime. We were getting updates at the ball game last night as one of our players spend half the game on his cell. Watching one game and listening to another.
Oh, but we lost. again.
I've been talking about the whole Nieminen issue with a lot of people over the past few days, and my opinion is starting to change on that. It seems the hit was a lot worse than I thought. I hadn't actually seen the hit, but I was under the assumption that it was just a blind checking from behind. I guess he was bleeding a lot when he got up, so it couldn't have been too minor. And seeing as it's his second time in these playoffs, and doing it at the end of an already lost game, I'll have to agree that he needed to sit out. Looks like we're all paranoid after the Bertuzzi incident.
Alright, come on boys, one more and you can rub it in Edmonton's face all next year.
