The Chieftains came to Australia, I travelled to Melbourne to the concert, it was beyond words, fantastic.

Also had the privilege of doing a brief recorded interview with Paddy Moloney after the concert for our radio broadcast.

What an honour to meet the man, he's a very gentle and humble soul.

Glad you had such a great time Graham. Kudos on the interview, too.

I was truly jealous when I first read this over at xmarks, but now I am just impressed. Great good securing an interview with Paddy. I wonder, did he say anything about the kilt?

Thanks Brian and cwood, no, Paddy didn't mention the kilt, nothing new to him I guess.

They had a Highland piper join them on stage, he looked and sounded great.
The concert was unbelievable, Paddy's humour really added to the whole experience.

What a great band, in every sense of the word.

I'm not real familiar with their music. I'm sure I've heard it here on CR and didn't know it, but I think I'm going to check into them a bit more. I've heard nothing but good about them.

I've seen them in the past before Derek Bell passed away. I would love to see them again.

What kind of questions did you ask in the interview?

All I had time for was to ask if paddy would like to send a greeting to our listeners in Tasmania.

The recording is only 53 secs. I cannot attach it here 'cos its over 1 mb
