That's one of the most renown festival in Brittany and this year is the year of Acadie. I thought it could interest you to have some informations about it. As usual in Brittany, great music and great atmosphere !
Que restera-t-il de notre sang mêlé au sel, sans trace dans les mémoires ? Une ultime navigation, trompeuse. Et des souvenirs, illuminés d'embruns. Mais condamnés au silence de la mer... Loïc Finaz.
WOW, Celtica! That looks like a LOT of fun! Wish I could go, even if I don't speak a word of French! Are you going? You should! I bet you'd have a wonderful time!

'S i Alba tìr mo chridhe. 'S i Gàidhlig cànan m' anama. Scotland is the land of my heart. Gaelic is the language of my soul.
It does sound like a lot of fun! So if you go you will def have to tell about it!

Unfortunately, it was impossible for me to go there, I'm back to work !
Wizard, you should go, never mind if you don't speak a word of French, there's a lot of americans and people from all over the world in Lorient during the festival ! I'm sorry I didn't find a proper site in english, more informative. The better sites I found were not translated .
I was lucky enough to be in that festival ! Just one day tough
Unfortunatly, you have to pay for almost everything, and there were only a few free perfomances.
The enviromment was good, but I must said I've been in better festivals... Anyway, if I have the chance next year, I'll be coming back!
The good thing with britanny is that celtic perfomances are everywhere!!
I managed to meet Carlos Núñez on my trip, an spend quite a lot time with him in person. He might not be very well known, but I quite like him. That was in Rochefort, out of Britanny tough...
I've been several times in the Festival and a lot more in the special one Vigo-Lorient. Even I was 17 I was performing in as dancer in a folk group from From Vigo.
Any Festival in Loriant is just great and will ever be. Yes... You need to pay almost for everyting but then you can not get quality for free. It ia a main economics rule.
Last summer Celt Festival in Ortigueira was also absolutely fabulous and was people from every where. The best of the Celt folk was there. Massive attendance. All as far you could see was filled up with tentes 2 days before the Festival did start.
