Celtic Radio Community > General Discussion > Needa Translation Into Gaelic

Posted by: Shenaniganz247 14-Nov-2010, 10:14 PM
I've been looking through the forums and can't find anything on this, but I'm getting ready to get a new tattoo and I'm getting the William Wallace sword with the phrase, Every Man Dies, Not Every Man Really Lives, in Gaelic. I have looked all through the internet as much as i can and can not find a true translation. If anyone can help translate it into gaelic or point me to a place in the forums this has already been done it'd be most appreciated.

thanks

since entering this I've found 3 possibilities if anyone is skilled in this and tell me if any of these are right.

1. Gheidh gach duine bas, cha bhi duine beo gu-dearbh

2. Basaichidh gach duine, cha bhi ah-uile duine beo da-rireabh (riribh or rireadh also a possibility for the last word)

3. Faigheann gach fear bas, ach ni ghlacann gach fear leis an tsaol

any input would be helpful

thanks

Be wary of the translators, they tend to be literal and/or unreliable. Go to http://www.irishgaelictranslator.com
The people there are fantastically helpful and will help you get an accurate translation!
