Hi everyone I found celticradio, a few days ago.  It is great! I checked out the boards yesterday.  Now I'm jumping in.  My user name is the English translation of hubby's family name.  His grandmother's mother was a McIsiac (sp?)  I learned from my birth mother I was Irish and Apache from her.  Hubby & I graduated from a Robertson High.  We now live in a town, where the highschool is the Highlanders, and the band wears kilts and has a few bagpipes.  My oldest daughter married a McDonald.  She learned to make a kilt before the wedding.  We have gone  the Ren Fest on highland days, I love the battle of the bands.  My grandson was out on the field when he was 15 months in his kilt, plaid, & tam and the drummer took pitty on him and let him play drum.   Though if I have my way, it will be the bagpipes he learns.  Granddaughter is into singing and dance. would love  to get her into culteral dance.

Let's not forget the Vernal Equinox either!  :D

If any of y'all have ever wondered why so many Southern Boys are named "Vern" it is because their mommas took their names from the Old Farmer's Almanac!   :D  :p

Well the weather was warm here in lower Michigan on the first day of spring. It snowed yesterday, and again this morning.  Saw a crocus in a city south of us this past weekend, can the  tulips be fay behind? Or am I dreaming?

Been hot here the last few days in SC now very windy this morning white caps on the water I can see from here. Should make for some interesting tennis this afternoon if weather holds. Always fun trying to control the ball when the wind wants to do just the opposite to it.

And yipee 300 posts for me with this post!  :o)

One week ago we had warm 70' temperature and bright sunshine. Today we have had a record low of 19' and we have had to turn our heaters back on in the house! El Nino is on its way!!!!

It's 22 right now.  Been nice and sunny.  Snow is melting! ! !
After temps have been in the - it's realy nice.  Spring in Alaska is called brake up because of the ice braking up in the rivers.  Spring is here when the ice goes out in the Tanana River.  Some time in April.

Well, we have had our third 70' day of the spring!  (rose)  Spring here is several cold rainy spells followed by brief warm sunny days, with the weather eventually turning drier and warmer. So this week, we have had three wet and cold days, including a major storm, which was followed by the lovely day we had today. Weatherman says tommorrow will once again be wet, cold and rainy. I have been comparing our weather to that of Scotland, and I believe we are getting pretty much the same weather, except the temperatures there dont go as high as our do.  :o)

Today the temp reached a high of 85 and it has been a beautiful day.  :o)  Nothing like the sunshine to lift a bodies spirits and  I don't mean the kind of spirits in a bottle. :D I hope everyone is having a good week this far.  Take Care All!!
