I think I found at least one version of Jamie (2nd book maybe?) Dougray Scott. He was the prince in Ever After

Oh no, Robert! He was in Desperate Houswives! I'll never be able to forget him in that role...LOL

But if I had not, I think he would possibly make a good choice though. wink.gif

I am sorry to say that I will not be making it to the Arizona Highland games afterall this coming weekend. I feel so bad and very torn, but my back health has been very aggravating..... and well...I just felt best I not make the trip up there. So I will have to catch up with friends who do and find out any scoop I can! Will keep you posted! smile.gif

Hey Robert. Ok, you finished Voyager, right? To me that was one of the best books besides Outlander. Yes! Please continue to read the rest of the books.

Warning: When you get to "Fiery Cross" it is very slow moving and it took me a year to read that book as a result, but hang in there as it prepares you for the next book! wink.gif

I too have been reading The Fiery Cross for a bit now and am taking your advice to Robert of "hang in there" to heart. I thought Drums bogged down a bit in the end and this one doesn't seem much different so far. And while I like Roger, I am not terribly fond of Bree's character. I don't think that helps.

I still like reading the story though. smile.gif

I just finished The Fiery Cross last night. Was ok but still not as good as Outlander IMO. I can see certain elements of the story being planted for the next book so maybe it'll pick up.

Any thoughts on the Lord John Grey series?

According to the Ladies of Lallybroch website, the book is due out in September of 2009.

I've heard it's the last one in the series but hopefully not.

Yes, a year is a long wait, I have to agree. I think there is at least one or two Lord Grey's coming out as well if you're interested in those.

I have to admit that I have never been a Lord John Grey fan. Out of all the characters in her books, why she picked him, I will never know. I would have loved for her to focus on Dougal as he was one of my favorites in the series.

Even if the new book is indeed out in September 2009 and it be the final, there will be a prequel in regards to Jamie's parents and a book totally devoted to Murtagh. There will also be a sequel to the "Outlandish Companion."

The last I heard, there will be no movie/film of this series and characters.

Any word on the graphic novel? Just finished "Drums" and since I haven't had a chance to get to the bookstrore I've been reading Morgan Llywelyn's "1921" about the Irish civil war. It was the only one in the series I hadn't read and the hardest to find. Very informative and it helped to make since of the "troubles" and the causes behind them. I still haven't seen the Outlander Companion anywhere but I'm keeping an eye out for it.
I agree on the Lord John Grey series. I would have like to seen a series on Bonnet the pirate. She could have had a lot more fun writing about him and I think the intrest would have been higher.

I have read Diana's books also.

Does anyone know of Celtic Journeys Outlander Tour scheduled for September 27, 2009?
