End of March or beginning of April this year. It happens frequently here, although I think I was driving to Milwaukee Wisconsin that time. 15 cars in the ditch as I remember.
When was the last time you hitched a ride or gave a ride to someone in need?

wdorholt Posted on 21-Nov-2009, 03:46 AM Well, depending on what size of a population center you consider a city(Perham is 2500), probably yesterday when I drove out to a potato field to look at the Leonid Meteor shower.
How was the Leonid Meteor shower? Was it breathless sight to see? I couldn't stay up that late to take in the show
As for your question; it is against the law to pick up hitch hikers around these parts in Canada.....however, we offered a ride to a friend in need a few weeks ago.
When was the last time you participated in a snowball fight?
It's been awhile, I was a Marine Cold Weather Operations Instructor on an Army base at Camp Ripley Minnesota.
When was the last time you wrote a letter, to a friend or relative using a pen and paper then put a stamp on the envelop and mailed it?.

DISCIPLINE MUST BE A HABIT SO INGRAINED THAT IT IS STRONGER THAN THE EXCITEMENT OF BATTLE OR THE FEAR OF DEATH. General George S. Patton
Laws that forbid the carrying of firearms, disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assulted, and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourge, than to prevent homicides. For an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.
Wow, that's a good one! It must be over twenty years ago for me. I wasn't that good at it, so e-mail was a great treat for me to renew contacts from those past years.
Leelee,
Sorry I missed your post. The Leonid meteor shower has one about every minute or so, so I wouldn't think most people would find it spectacular. More interesting than spectacular I would say.
When is the last time you met a New Years resolution and what was it?
A little over a year ago, the theater here in town that I grew up going to every week end closed down in the early 70's. Now it's been refurbished to it's glory days. It's now a performing Art's Theater, but on occasion they show a classic movie. For the Grand opening they Showed " GONE WITH THE WIND " what an experience.
When was the last time you saw a classic movie on the big screen?.
About 2 yrs. ago I went to West Virginia ( thats WEST BY GOD VIRGINIA ) to visit family. There was a Carnival in town so we went, oh did we have fun it was like being a kid again.
When was the last time you layed in the grass, and fell asleep watching the stars?
