Here's one for the ladies...enjoy!

The woman entered the room, and with a knowing smile teasing her full lips, she sank into the comfort of the plush chair in the corner. The handsome stranger turned having sensed her approach.

Locking his steely grey eyes on hers, he moved slowly toward her, his experienced gaze measuring her, hypnotizing her with his soft murmurs of assurance. He sank to his knees before her and without a word, smoothly released her from her constraining attire.

With a sigh of surrender, she allowed his foreign hands to unleash her bare flesh. He expertly guided his hands through this tender, often hidden territory, his movements deliberate, confident in his ability to satisfy her every need. Her senses swam. She was overcome with an aching desire that had gone unfulfilled for so long. Then, just as it seemed that ecstasy was within her grasp, he paused, and for one

heart stopping moment, she thought, "It?s too big!-it will never fit!"

Then with a sudden rush, it slid into place as if it had been made only for her. As pleasure and contentment washed over her, she met his steady gaze, tears of gratitude shining in her eyes. And she knew it wouldn?t be long before she returned. Oh yes, this woman would want more, she would want to do it again and again and again.....

Don?t you just love shopping for shoes!!!!.

Strawberry and Baileys Fool

Ingredients:

? 1 pint strawberries, washed and hulled, with 6 reserved
? 2 cups heavy cream
? 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
? confectioners' sugar, for dusting

Serves 6

Directions:

Undoubtedly, one of the prettiest fruit fools is made with strawberries, and this version adds Baileys Irish Cream for a little zip! The alternating layers of deep colored puréed fruit and the lighter whipped strawberry/cream are a picture-perfect ending to a spring meal.

Chill 6 stem glasses while preparing the fruit. In a food processor or blender, purée the strawberries until smooth. In a small bowl, with an electric mixer on high speed, whip the cream until stiff. Add half the strawberry purée and the Baileys to the cream and blend until smooth. Remove glasses from refrigerator and divide the strawberry/cream mix into the bottom quarter of each. Spoon over the fruit purée, and continue to alternate layers of cream with fruit. Slice the reserved strawberries over the top of each glass and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.

Roast Stuffed Loin of Pork with Crackling & Bramley Apple Sauce
- By Darina Allen
Ingredients:

? 1 x 5 lbs (2.3kg) loin of pork with the skin still on

Fresh Herb Stuffing
? 12 ozs (45g/3 tablesp.) butter
? 3 ozs (85g/: cup) chopped onion
? 3-32 ozs (85-100g/12 cups approx.) soft white breadcrumbs
? 2 tablesp. (2 American tablesp. + 2 teasp.) chopped herbs (parsley, thyme, chives, marjoram, savoury, perhaps very little sage or rosemary)
? Salt and freshly ground pepper

Gravy
? 1 pint (600ml/22 cups) home-made chicken stock
? Roux (optional)

Bramley Apple Sauce
? 1 lb (450g) cooking apples, e.g. Bramley Seedling or Grenadier
? 1-2 dessertsp. (2 - 1 American tablesp.) water
? 2 ozs (55g/scant 3 cup) sugar, depending on how tart the apples are

Directions:

For really good crackling score the skin at 3 inch (5mm) intervals running with the grain - let your butcher do this if possible because the skin is quite tough. (This will also make it easier to carve later).
Then make the stuffing: sweat the onions gently in the butter for 5 or 6 minutes. When they are soft, stir in the crumbs and freshly chopped herbs and a little salt and pepper to taste, cool.

Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/regulo 5. Put the joint skin side down on the work top sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper, spread the stuffing over the meat, roll up tightly and tie with cotton string, season the rind with salt. Roast on a rack, allowing 25-28 minutes lb (450g). Baste every now and then.

Just before the end of cooking time remove the pork to another roasting tin, replace in the oven and turn up the temperature to very hot 230C/450F/regulo 8, to get crisp crackling. When the joint is cooked the juices should run clear - one doesn't eat pink pork, put the pork onto a hot carving dish and allow to rest in a very cool oven while you make the gravy in the original roasting tin.

To make the gravy, de-grease the roasting pan, add the chicken stock and de-glaze the pan. Bring to the boil. Season and thicken with a little roux, if desired. Freshly chopped herbs may be added to the gravy. Serve with crispy, roast potatoes and Bramley Apple Sauce.

Bramley Apple Sauce

The trick with Apple Sauce is to cook it covered on a low heat with very little water.

Peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut the pieces into two and put in a stainless steel or cast iron saucepan with sugar and water. Cover and put over a low heat. As soon as the apple has broken down, beat into a puree, stir and taste for sweetness. Serve warm.
Note: Apple Sauce freezes perfectly, so make more than you need and freeze in tiny, plastic cartons. It is also a good way to use up windfalls.

Brown Bread

Ingredients:
? 4 cups Whole wheat flour
? 2 cups White flour
? 1 1/2 ts Salt
? 1 1/2 ts Baking soda
? 2 cups Buttermilk or sour milk
? 2 tb Butter

Directions:

Mix the whole wheat flour throughly with the white flour. Rub the butter into the flours. Add the salt, and soda. Make a well in the center and gradually mix in the liquid. Stir with a wooden spoon. You may need less, or more liquid - it depends on the absorbent quality of the flour. the dough should be soft but managable. Knead the dough into a ball in the mixing bowl with your floured hands. Put in on a lightly floured baking sheet and with the palm of your hand flatten out in a circle 1 1/2 inches thick. With a knife dipped in flour, make a cross through the center of the bread so that it will easily break into quarters when it is baked.

Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes, reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake a further 15 minutes. If the crust seems too hard, wrap the baked bread in a damp tea cloth. Leave the loaf standing upright until it is cool.

Is Dancing Becoming a Beauty Pageant?
By Jon Myles

Trendy young Irish dancers may be all the rage on stages across the world ? but they?re are out of step with Ireland?s Minister for Education.

Parents are used to paying out thousands of pounds for the essential wigs and expensive dresses to make their dancing children look good.

But they?ve fallen foul of Minister Mary Hanafin over the latest fad ? make-up and tanning creams.

And what?s more she wants to orchestrate a backlash against the trend for dolling-up young dancers.

The former teacher said she was hopeful parents everywhere would voice their objections to the spend, spend, spend culture which has grown up around Irish dancing competitions.

?The sooner parents object to it the better,? she said.

Her comments came after watching an Irish dancing presentation performed by girls at a new ?2million all-Irish school in Carrickmacross in Co. Monaghan.

She said she pleased all the girls were wearing colourful traditional costumes and hadn?t the slightest tinge of make-up on their faces.

And Ireland?s National Parents Council backed the Minister?s comments ? warning that covering children in blusher and mascara risked reducing Irish dancing to a beauty pageant.

Spokeswoman Eleanor Petrie said: ?It would be dreadful if we saw traditional Irish dancing taking on the role of an American beauty pageant which has more to do with mum and dad?s ambitions than the child?s enjoyment.

?I think any kind of stereotype is dangerous. Dance competitions are supposed to be concerned with how you move and hold yourself not how you look.

?The colour of your skin should not influence a judge one way or the other.?

But not everyone is in agreement ? especially in Britain.

One young Irish dancer from Manchester taking part in a competition this weekend said dressing up was an essential part of the enjoyment of Irish dancing.

?Most girls like to dress up and wear make-up to look their best,? she said. ?it?s part of the enjoyment and atmosphere of the event.

?I can?t see anything wrong with wearing make-up when dancing and all my friends agree.?

What?s your view? Should Irish dance contestants forego the make-up and elaborate costumes? Write to the Irish Post, Cambridge Grove, Cambridge House, Hammersmith, London W6 0LE.

Chasing a Ghost in Canada

Hundreds of Irish Americans traveled to Montreal in Canada over the weekend to find the head of an ancient Irish ghost.

Mary Gallagher, who came to Montreal and Gross Ile, Montreal?s Ellis Island, after the famine of 1847, made her living on the streets of Montreal as a prostitute. She was beheaded by a jealous sister prostitute, Susan Kennedy, in 1879, and buried in an unmarked grave at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.

The head of the 38-year-old prostitute, the story goes, was hacked off with an axe and dumped in a slop bucket, her severed right hand left lying on the floor nearby.

Every seven years, Gallagher is supposed to reappear searching for her head on the anniversary of her death on June 27. On Monday hundreds of Irish Americans traveled to the site to catch a glimpse of the famous ghost.

Montreal has two Irish celebrations each year, St. Patrick?s Day and Mary Gallagher?s Day. But the ghost watch only happens on the seventh year anniversary.

Reverend Thomas McEntee began this tradition in 1991 and hosted a Mass before the ghost watch.

Denis Delaney remembers his mother calling him for his dinner with, ?Come in or the headless lady will get you!? A Navy veteran, Delaney, 71, claims to have seen Gallagher before.

She has mousy-brown hair, he said, and in 1998, he saw her wearing a red dress with a green silk band, black ankle boots, a white petticoat, earrings, and a gold Claddagh ring.

?Every time I come down here it?s almost like being transported back in time,? he said.

Though the ghost made no appearance, McKibbin?s Pub, which is near the scene of her beheading, served Bloody Mary?s all night.

Please don't hate me for this....here goes

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her
nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.

"Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday."

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says
his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he
knows the bank manager.

Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some
collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain
elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.

Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank
manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger
out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants
to use this as collateral."

She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is
this?"

(you're gonna love this)

(its a real treat)

(a masterpiece)

(wait for it)

The bank manager looks back at her and says...

"It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a
Rolling Stone."

(You're singing it, aren't you? Yeah, I know you are........)

Never take life too seriously! Come on now, you grinned, I know you
did!!!

Havea GREAT day

Song: Are You Lonely

Do you feel so small
On sunday afternoon
In your loveless house
Full of empty rooms
Once a place of life
Once upon a time
Flames are dying out
While ghosts move in
Crossing on the stair
Asleep in empty chairs
Tell me... are you lonely ?

And if we believe wisdom comes with years
As knowledge stings our eyes
The easier the tears
Cradled in the sadness, a heart that ever aches
I'm praying with all mine
I won't make the same mistakes
Are the dark seeds there
In the blood we share
Tell me... are you lonely ?

While love lives, while suns set
While snowmoons rise in november skies
While ties bind while souls cry
While oceans ride in an endless tide
While love grows, while blood flows
While truth is real you need never feel alone

What seems to hurt the most
Is giving up the ghost
So tell me... are you lonely ?

Song: Don't Think Of Me

So you're with her
not with me
I hope she's sweet
and so pretty
I hear she cooks delightfully
a little angel beside you

so you're with her
not with me
oh how lucky
one man can be
I hear your house is smart and clean
oh how lovely with your homecoming queen
oh how lovely it must be

when you see her sweet smile baby
don't think of me
and when she lays in your warm arms
don't think of me

so you're with her
not with me
I know she spreads sweet honey
in fact your best friend I heard he spent
last night with her
now how do you feel, how do you feel?

when you see her sweet smile baby
don't think of me
and when she lays in your warm arms
don't think of me
and it's too late
and it's too bad
don't think of me
and it's too late
and it's too bad
don't think of me

does it bother you now all the mess I made
does it bother you now, the clothes you told me not to wear
does it bother you now all the angry games we played
does it bother you now when im not the-re

when you see her sweet smile baby
don't think of me
and when she lays in your warm arms
don't think of me
and it's too late
and it's too bad
don't think of me
and it's too late
and it's too bad
don't think of me...

Song: My Lover's Gone

My lovers gone
his boots no longer by my door
he left at dawn
and as Islept i felt him go return no more
i will not watch the ocean
my lovers gone
no earthy ships will ever bring him home again
bring him home again
my lovers gone
i know that kiss wil be my last
no home his song
the tune upon his lips has passed i sing alone
while i watch the ocean
my lovers gone
no earhly ships will ever bring him home again

Song: White Flag

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you
I'll tell you that
But if I didn't say it
Well, I'd still have felt it
Where's the sense in that?

I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were

Well I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I know I left too much mess
And destruction to come back again
And I caused but nothing but trouble
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "It's over"
Then I'm sure that that makes sense

Well I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door

I'm in love and always will be

And when we meet
As I'm sure we will
All that was then
Will be there still
I'll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I've moved on

Well I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

Well I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

Song: Here With Me

I didn't hear you leave
I wonder how am I still here
And I don't want to move a thing
It might change my memory

Oh I am what I am
I do what I want
But I can't hide

And I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me

And I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me

I don't want to call my friends
For they might wake me from this dream
And I can't leave this bed
Risk forgetting all that's been

Oh I am what I am
I do what I want
But I can't hide

And I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me

I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here

I won't go
And I won't sleep
And I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me

And I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me

Oh I am what I am
I do what I want
But I can't hide

And I won't go
I won't sleep
And I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me

I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here

And I won't go
And I won't sleep
And I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me

I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me
