Our new broadcast software is now installed! We ran into some technical problems in switching to the new software, but we are now 100% running from a professional broadcast system that includes some these features:

- automated programming and news updates.
- intregated website development tools.
automated requests
current song
last 20 songs
up coming songs
- Chat room located on IRC #scottishradio.

We also did our first live broadcast! (Thank you to those that informed us our mike level was a bit too high!)

All of the pieces are starting to come together and with any luck we should have some pieces of our new website up next week. We are projecting that the development stage of Highlander Radio (broadcast tools, website, etc.) will be completed by 1/1/02.

We are building a strong foundation for Highlander Radio. Once our development stage is completed, we will turn our energies toward developing the broadcast, programming and providing website content.

Thanks to all of your encouraging emails and remember that Highlander Radio is where the music of our ancestors lives on!
