Go to http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...5137142936&rd=1
to see Item # 5137142936.

Read the entire auction carefully.

Notice the small print near the bottom of the auction, just above the pictures.

Although it would appear that the winner of the auction, unclefista, may have the last laugh: "No pic yet, maybe he's waiting for the photo of the cheque to clear ? wink.gif SCAMMER".

I know, I'm a day late. I tried to check this one out, but they've already removed it. Can you tell me "the rest of the story"?? tongue.gif

It was a sale of a Toshiba laptop. The ad went on and on about the qualities of the laptop, all the software loaded on it, etc.

Then, at the bottom, in small print, was, "You are bidding on a picture of this laptop which will be emailed to the winner."

You weren't bidding on an actual laptop as was highly suggested by the auction, but rather just a picture that would be emailed to you. A scam.

The bid got to around £600 GBP.
