Good news, we have successfully brought the site back online into a more stable environment and running on our new 3 GHZ server!
We have not had a chance to test all of the features of our site, but at first try everything appears to be working including the account features, private messages and profiles.
Our contact form has not been working since this past weekend, please re-send any messages to CelticRadio.net using the temporary contact form instructions. Also chat and our newsletter section will also be down for a few more days.
Please remember that tommorow (May 3rd) we will be completely off the internet (including our broadcast) for a short bit while our new DSL service is installed. It should only be for about a half hour, but it could be longer. The tech will arrive sometime between 8 and 4! I guess they can't tell the exact time he will be here to install the new DSL service.
I think the major issues are behind us and if I had to give a forcast I would say that after this weekend you can expect CelticRadio.net to be back to its old stable self!
Thanks for everyones patience during this time of "reconfiguration"!
since they're going to be there anytime between 8 and 4 this means you can pay them anytime between June and October right? I really wish they could give you a smaller window of time for planning purposes.

I think the 8-4 is the smaller window. DSL service times are worst than cable. DSL used to be "We will install service between this date and this date." At least they gave hour on a date.
Well, the new service is installed, but there is definitely a lag when clicking on any links. Probably 5-15 secs before it loads. Seems to be the connection as once it connects it loads fast.
Were in touch with technical support to see whats up. It might be a number of days before this is fixed.
Let us know if you are experiencing any slow down.
I get the same time-out error I think as Dogshirt is experiencing when requesting songs. And I too have noticed some dragging when it comes to loading pages.
I'm seeing the same thing at home (56k dialup) and here at work (T1). Takes forever to find the page and then bang, it's there! (though I just used the spell checker and it appeared immediately)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I've been trying to isolate where the problem is with the lagging.
Looks like it is a problem with the new server. We have managed to get the old server to come back online and we have switch our site back onto this computer. The lagging problem is now resolved.
I am about to fix the problem with the mail error you are seeing on posts.
Well, the good news is we have made the switched over to our new internet provider and things are working well with that concern.
We still need to switch over to the new server, but it looks like that is going to require additional work. I'd say once we get that resolved, our site will be 100% stable. Any downtime now will be in trying to create our new webserver and a backup server.
Thanks again for everyones patience. It might be another week or two, but we will get there!
