After reading the other posts about their flags I think that I ought to explain my flag.

It is an old (very old) symbol.

The three legs are to do with the circle of life.

The IOM has NO patron saint, we are aside from the Christian doctrine, we make our own way and believe in it.

Way before Christianity came to Europe we had decided that we would be seperate from them, we follow no other than Mannanin himself (an aged god who rules the seas) The Irish can follow this because their and our lore follow closely together.

The Island does not bow to the cross of St George, nor St Andrew or St David ergo we are not one with the British.

I know the Welsh are proud of their heritage, the Scottish theirs and the Irish have always been their own people, but the IOM has always been neglegted.

We are US and always have been, and wil be until the end of time

As a further note on the flag, it must never be flown to the knees face east, as previously said we will never kneel to that adjacent isle

Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways yelling "HOLY pooh!!! WHAT A RIDE THAT WAS!!!"

What happens if the wind changes?

I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."

We need more Stan Rogers.
