So, it's now Christmas morning. Merry Christmas to everyone.

I thought it would be neat to see what everyone got this year that is Celtic, or close to Celtic (or even non-Celtic if you wish).

I got several things:

A Picture book of Ireland
A set of Celtic Rubber stamps
The Best of Runrig "Long Distance" CD
Sprirt of Ireland CD by David Arkenstone
A rare and commercially unavailable 4 track Rankin Family CD
A Beautiful lambswool throw in the Wilson Ancient Tartan
and a small round ceramic Claddagh frame

So...who's next to share? smile.gif

The Chieftains CD's (Down the Old Plank Road and The Wide World Over)
Tannahill Weaver CD (Alchemy)
Gaelic Storm CD (Special Reserve)
Celtic Tenors CD (So Strong)

and a whole bunch of books - mostly historical Romance from Scotland and a few others:

Exile's Valor and Sun in Glory by Mercedes Lackey
The Blood of the Roses by Marsha Canham
Wedding the Highlander and The Seductive Imposter by Janet Chapman
Fire Cloud by Cassie Edwards

I need a new Bookshelf now that my in-laws loaded me up with new reading material. Maybe I should have put that on my christmas list instead. LOL

Merry Christmas to all! newyear.gif

Inis perfume and body lotion (an Irish perfume)
and Claddagh stud earrings, ring and pendant.

For our anniversary a few days ago, I bought "us" a beautiful 8" etched glass claddagh suncatcher. Of course, ours is etched with The Wilsons, Extablished 2003:

I got a beautiful celtic wedding band that I have been wanting forever. It is white gold and yellow gold. The only bad part is it is coming from Ireland and it will take up to 4 weeks before I can see it!! It will be something to look forward to.

Merry Christmas

Unless you consider Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban on DVD Celtic-related, then nothing.

Here's my booty:

The aforementioned Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban on DVD
Norton SystemWorks (which includes Norton Anti-Virus) for my computer
Some new pajamas
Socks (I always need 'em and ask for them for my birthday & Christmas)
Three new shirts
A new hoodie which I have to return because it's too small (I need to lose some weight-I'm gonna start exercising again on Monday)

We had my sister & her family, my Aunt Miriam & Uncle Don who live in the area, and my Uncle Jim from Iowa over for a prime rib and/or lobster tail dinner. My Uncle Jim, a retired Catholic priest, said Mass before dinner.

After dinner, Santa came. The kids were in seventh heaven. These towels I gave the kids, which they can also wear, were the belles of the ball. Megan's was a hippopotamus, Jay's was a monkey, and Amy's was a bunny. I bet they fell asleep in the car on the way home.

I got Carbon Leaf's "Indian Summer" album (Celtic-ish), Stan Roger's "Home in Halifax" album, and a laptop, which I named Faol (all of my computers are named Wolf in some language).

Got a good bit of other stuff, but nothing else celtic, unless you'd like to count the VERY nice print of some wolves relaxing on a rock near a stream. VERY nice.

QUOTE (WizardofOwls @ 26-Dec-2004, 01:52 PM)
The music is by Karan Casey of Altan. EXCELLENT CD!

Karen Casey previously of Solas??? I don't think that she sang with Altan. Anyways, Karen Casey has one of the most amazing voices.
