We've been there, but we'd like to go back. What're yours?
I have two:
1. Hawai'i. I went there in high school with the school band my sister and I were in. I'd love to go back and see Pearl Harbor again.
2. San Francisco. This was the final stop on our road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway, which started in San Diego. I think I'd appreciate San Francisco more now that I'm older. Also, I kinda put a buzzkill on the last day of the trip because I got food poisoning. If it wasn't coming out one way , it was coming out the other . I'd like to rectify that for myself.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
I love the Grand Tetons. When I was a kid we camped all the way across the country and back again, and my most vivid memory still is Medicine Bow, Wyoming. The wolves howling a duet with the wind at night, and the clouds so big and so defined they looked like they were carved out of snow-white marble, reflected in the lake. It reminds you how small you are, and how young our whole kind is, compared to the earth.
This doesn't really qualify as a vacation, but once in 1992, while on a run in my 18 wheeler, I broke down in Course d' Alene, ID, and was taken in by a guy who found me waiting for a tow truck. He stayed with me until the truck arrived, and then took me to his home and he and his family treated my like one of their own. They treated me to a wonderful country dinner than night, then took me on a horse riding trip into the hills nearby. The scenery just made my heart sing, and I vowed that this was where I would retire. Until then, I would very much like to spend time vacationing there. I understand they have some spectacular golf too!

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge. ~Mark Twain
I would love to revisit Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand.
I'd also love to visit Ireland for the first time.

May those who love us love us And those who don't love us May God turn their hearts, And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May He turn their ankles, So we'll know them by their limping.
I just got back from an eight day road trip through BC, and all I want to do is go back. It has to be the most beautiful place on earth. I took over six rolls of film.

"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."
-Alexander Maclean Sinclair of Goshen (protector of Gaelic Culture)
