Sailor's Sky

The sun is setting
Time for my ship to sail
Into the rosy twilight
Over the lavender sea
Into the milky twilight
To dance among the stars
And cast a shadow on the moon
My love and I
Our sails unfurled
And ready for adventure

So cold...
I'm so cold, I need a warm fuzzy sweater
Somthing soft to hold me
Something to warm me
I'm cold without your love
So empty...
Dying inside, feeling the pain
the aching
Nothing to comfort me
my secret and I, face to face
I'm losing my will
The pain is so familiar
I have been here before
No comfort except a shattered heart
breaking slowly, piece by piece
falling....like my tears

Your love is like a house
Strong and sturdy
Bricks and timbers
A fortress strong, built to last
Tall and beckoning
Bidding me to open the door

Your love is like home
The familiar sweet fragrance
Of favorite things
A flickering candle in the window
To guide me on a dark night

I will open the door
Of my love's home, my love's heart
And throw away the key
For here it is
I will stay
