Anyone going to go see this movie when it comes out? My gf and I both think it looks interesting enough to warrant a visit to the theater.

Alway been interested in Voodoo and the history behind it. Be fun to see a movie on it, and it looks like a pretty well done movie.

Well, I'll put up my thoughts about it after I see it next weekend.

CC,

I haven't heard of this one! Where did you see it? What's the general idea behind it? (running off now to check the "coming soon" lists at Loews' laugh.gif ....)

Alrighty, well I've been seeing previews for awhile, and you can check out the website...but here is the general idea from what I've seen.

A woman goes to be a nurse for this man who is unable to get around and care for himself. The man has a wife, but I guess they need a nurse. The house is outside of New Orleans in Louisianna. Well, she's given a Skeleton Key and searches the house and finds a secret room in the attic. Lots of crazy voodoo stuff goes on, there are a bunch of secrets and stuff is discovered...and there's something about how if you don't believe then the voodoo or spirits can't get you...but the woman starts to believe...or something.

It also looks like the old man is afraid of something or somone, and is being hurt or something and needs the woman's help.

Looks like one of those secrets, spirts, and spells movies. The preview compares it to sixth sense and...aw hell I can't remember what else. But I guess it's got a crazy ending like that movie or something.

The webite is pretty neat, with little things here and there you can click on to get things to happen, etc. It also has a couple trailers and a making of video.

Check it out. Opens August 12.
