Our good friend Aaediwen leaves Thursday on his trip to the Emerald Isle! And I am SO jealous! So does anyone have any last minute suggestions for him?
I only have two. I know that I have suggested it to you before, but let me do so again: Keep a journal! A month or two after things like this, the memories begin to fade, and you begin to feel as though you dreamed, like it never really happened at all. A journal will let you look back years from now and reflect on what you were doing at the moment you wrote each passage.
And second: TAKE LOTSA PICTURES!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL time! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

'S i Alba tìr mo chridhe. 'S i Gàidhlig cànan m' anama. Scotland is the land of my heart. Gaelic is the language of my soul.
I hope you have a wonderful time! Stay safe. Can't wait to see those pictures! I know you are probably sick of hearing that, lol.

My suggestion is to drink only of the waters that come from either the Guinness or the Tullamore Dew plants. The one is darker than the other but both have grat medicinal powers.
If you get a chance go to bunratty Castle, just outside of the Shannon Airport.
Oh Aaediwen! How wonderful for you! We are very happy (though a bit green as well) and wish you a safe voyage, a magical time there and a safe return. Have a wonderful time!

I thank you all Over the last few weeks, I've had a feeling everyone else had a better grasp on the reality of this than I've had. I can't say if I will or will not ever log into Highlander Radio while I'm away. But if I do, I'll be sure to give at least some update. Even if only a line or so in the journal.
And before someone has to pull ticket 48119638431442 on my count of people to tell me this.... I plan to bring back several metric craploads of pictures. I'm taking well over 3.5 GB of memory for my dad's camera, and if I find access to transfer them across the Internet then I can upload some of the pics to home and take more if 1000 is not enough. I've got several hundred GB I'll leave online here at the house to upload to. I doubt I'll be waiting long enough for that much to transfer, to fill that at all...
Aaediwen! Wishing you a wonderful journey. will miss you while you are away, but I am sure you will be having such a wonderful time with lots of memories to share with all us and your future generations to come. Can't wait to see your pics!

12 hours and 30 minutes from now, I should be leaving Lexington, on my way to the Emerald Isle. Is it real yet?
Just doing some final checks. Then I think I'll be off to bed. Got to be up early in the morning.
Ohh, and I will be powering my workstations off while I'm gone. So I will not show in chat. If I show up there, I should be there. until I return from Ireland.
You'll be a changed man when you return. I hope you have the best time of your life and remember to take a moment when you are on the Emerald Isle, take a deep breath, look around and think of us!
