All things Celtic: Myths, Magick and Music!!! I'm new here at CelticRadio. I live in the Northwest, about a hour outside of Seattle. I first got turned onto Celtic Music, via Clannad. When in the late 80's, I heard them on the Soundtrack on the British imported TV series, "Robin of Sherwood". Soon after discovering there sibling Enya and also Loreena McKennitt. Then there was of course, the sensation of Riverdance, as well as the Soundtracks of the movies, Braveheart and Rob Roy coming along in the mid-90's. Which only heighten my interest. An as they say, it's all been downhill from there. A little about myself. I'm a quarter Irish via my maternal Grandmother, a Mac Cormac. Another quarter, German and the rest Swedish. Ever since I was a lad of say 7 or 8, I was always drawn to the the Myths, Legends and history of pre-gun powder era Northern Europe. Especially, the British Isles. An particularly anything Celtic. Where the affinity comes from is a mystery. I'm the middle of seven boys. An none of my brothers have a interest in anything beyond the mundania of middle- america. I guess maybe being a Aquarius/Rowen may have something to do with it. I guess the most succint way I could describe myself to you would be that I'm a Seeker of Truths, that Marches to his own Drummer. Which is usually myself. Since I can play my Bodhran in a passible manner. Nothing fancy mind you. :D I'd like to network with other Celtophiles here in the Puget Sound area and learn about Celtic ::musicnote oriented events in the area. Or perhaps just share a ::beermug pint or two with a kindred soul!!! Take care!!!
