Well i might get flamed for this one , but i can't keep my mouth shut on the topic of Satanism. I have to warn ye seriously about de-flating the evil role of Satan, in the bible it is stated quite clearly that he was evil from the very start, and that there is no good in him. He is also the Father of lies and it is in his deepest interest to picture himself as one who is harmless and possibly wronged. Don't fall on this! Dont trust him! His days are counted and he is already defeated and he knows it ... Only his interest to gather in his defeat what he can glean ... but his days are counted. True , they still last, but, as i say they will come to an end some time not too far away and then we will see who prevails ... All glory to Jesus the Son of God, victor over death and Satan! Amen

It's just sooo bloody annoying to get mistaken for a satanist when you run around in black clothes *grummel*.
Your beliefs are your thing, but I don't believe in things like that... I just can't take things that eg are in stories, legends, songs or books (as maybe the bible) as doctrines and therefore for granted. I believe that Jesus walked on this earth, yes, as a human and historic figure, he was a Nazarene as many others, a sect which tried to free Israel from the romans, as well as they had more liberal beliefs.
I believe in God as well as Satan or who ever (may it be a Goddess, or a child God ... I don't mean that blasphemic but much rather regardless which form he/she/it has) as a standard to live after - nothing else.
All evil things on this earth are done by us humans ourselves. Who we blame for it is another question.

That is what I believe in. As I said, what you believe in is your thing only, it's up to you and nobody else, so I don't want to talk into that, just stating what I believe and why I say things.

I'm having my second glass of Long Island Iced Tea here and I think I get a wee bit dizzy now. Time for me to go in..

I don't mind religious discussions btw, as long as they don't end up in tearing each other apart. I hate getting aggressive on theories...

Satanism and Wicca/Paganism are in no way the same thing.Those who practice Satanism worship a deity that is evil and self centered. Wicca promotes nature and an understanding of natural law, ( what you do comes back three fold ), so evil is not something that a part of Wicca.

I believe it was Albert Einstien that said "...If God had not created man then man would have created God..."

This is where the differences in spiritual/religious beliefs come in. I don't believe in Satan.

I don't think anyone should worry about getting "flamed". That is what I have always liked about this site. The amount of respect everyone has for other opinions.... There are always going to be disagreements.... We are all freinds here. If feelings are hurt, I'm sure it is was not intended to come out that way... So, speak freely. That is what makes this place, and us different.

You are right. Unfortunately, with some people religion can be their touchiest subject and they can get very defensive about it. I like the fact that we can discuss things in a calm way and not have to worry about someone trying to convert us, or calling us sinners, lost, or whatever.
