Right now we have 24 degrees F with 30 mph gusts of wind. Everything is rather icy. sad.gif

They are calling for another 1 - 3 inches of snow on top of what we already have.

OK, now this is big for Alabama... We're getting snow! Well, Flurries anyway. I thought someone was flicking cigarette ash at me this morning when I stepped out of my car, but then I realized that I had seen this white form of precipitation once... a long time ago in a land called Ohio. There was more of it there, but still felt somewhat the same.

It did indeed drop 30+ degrees overnight, and its still falling. We might be in for a good old southern ice storm by the weekend.

Brrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Still uncommonly cold here. Down around 85 F to 90F. Got so chilly last night that I almost started to think about covering up with a sheet. tongue.gif

Wondering if it might start to snow. laugh.gif

Might have to have an emergency shipment of snow tires sent in. biggrin.gif

Well, I never did get the truck started. About all I can do now is wait. I didn't get to work today. I called in and said, I'll be trying to get this dastardly thing flamed, but it doesn't look good. I can't even get it into the garage to get some heat under it. That'll have to wait until this evening when my brother comes by.

Oh, and it's about five degrees colder in every respect today. dry.gif

It's a beautiful sunny 50 degree's with a 30 mph wind here. When you look out it looks like it's warm but when you step outside into it, ooooo! But I'm lucky as we have sunshine today and it's beautiful.

QUOTE (barddas @ Jan 27 2004, 04:59 PM)
Sorry about all the ice, Mary. We're only about an hour and a half away from each other and got lots of snow.
But, yesterday it got warm here too! Up to like 35-40degrees! Which caused things to begin to melt quickly. Not to mention the amount of fog that was produced because of the evaporation. It was a reall ywindy and eerie night. Today it is snowing a bit, but I can see some blue skys to the west! So, Mary it looks like it is getting better your way...

Cheers

We have had snow on and off all day. It is strange to see steady snow falling while the sun is shining and the sky is blue.

I saw that you got about 6 inches of snow. Lucky. I want snow...A TON of snow.

I wish we would have gotten more. If it's going to be cold, it at the very least, should snow to make things pretty. tongue.gif

It's supposed to get down to 0 tonight. Then it starts all over again, snow and freezing rain.....
