Everybody went to lunch with the gal whose last day is today. So I'm alone, holding down the fort. Time to turn up the speakers!

When you're talking pastry, I'm thinking about one of my favourite Italian pastries - Sfogliatelle. Have you ever had any?

mmmmmmm

Well, I googled an Italian pastry shoppe and got this definition:

Sfogliatelle: It means "many layers. A crispy shell stuffed with a baked ricotta cream with pieces of candied fruit inside.

It has lots of layers like a baklava and tastes a lot like cannoli because it has the creamy thing going. I didn't even know there was candied fruit inside. Maybe that's just something this particular bakery does.

And, as far as pronunciation goes, my dad says it like "shvoyadelle". So, if you ever get a chance to order it, you won't embarrass yourself now, right? wink.gif

I'll bet you're one of those people who buy the toll house cookies from the refrigerator section of the store and never actually bake them, too! OMG how many times I've done that. Just take the roll of cookies out of the fridge, get a knife or spoon, and go hide somewhere that the kids can't find me - and just pig out!

Wow - I haven't done that in sooo long. No - mustn't get any ideas - I'm really being good on my diet.
