Music is holy, art is sacred, and creativity is power

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." Oscar Wilde
Some men are drawn to oceans, they cannot breathe unless the air is scented with a salty mist. Others are drawn to land that is flat, and the air is sullen and is leaden as August. My people were drawn to mountains- Earl Hamner Jr.

Yes - a lot of the subjects are not what one could call 'photogenic' - but that does make them more 'real' somehow!
That's what I personally love about photography. Is the candid photo of anything... I do love landscape, and wildlife photos... I take lots of those when I am in the mountains, or even just pulling of to the side of the road. Occassionally I like sitting down town near the square and just taking random shots of peoples everyday life. From buisness men/women to garbage collectors....anything.. it adds depth to the photo and gives it life.

It has revived memories of elderly rellies at family parties.... singing THOSE songs..... or worse, admitting they have the records and PLAYING them....
The ABs are part of the Scottish Burden (along with Jimmy Shand and Andy Stewart)...
I can see - as clearly as if it was yesterday... Andy Stewart on the One O'Clock Show.... kilt being swung from side to side in that exaggerated way..... trilling out that naff song..... My maiden name was the same as his... When I used to go abroad on business, people used to ask if we were related.....
AZZIF..
