What an interesting topic!!! I wish I had thought to be creative!!!
Marti64......Marti(always with an "I"...which is a story in itself) short for Martha. My Mom called me Marti Mart when I was young.... and I didn't want to be called Martha in college, so>>>>MARTI! (the weird part is that there are still some people that I know that know me by only one or the other...not both!!!)

WE CAN'T CHANGE WHAT WE HAVE DONE.... BUT ONLY TAKE A LESSON FROM EACH EXPERIENCE AND MAKE THE MOST OF EACH MINUTE THAT WE HAVE LEFT AND TELL OURELVES THAT IT IS OK TO LIVE, LAUGH AND CRY..... PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE ALL WORK TOGETHER TO GIVE US WHAT WE CAN AND SHOULD EXPERIENCE AND WE NEED TO CHERISH ALL OF THE TIME THAT WE SPEND WITH OURSELVES AND OTHERS MAKING THE MOST OF THE SPECIAL MEMORIES THAT ARE OURS.. AND THE ONES THAT WE HAVE YET TO CREATE WITH THE PEOPLE THAT WE HAVEN'T MET!!!!![/SIZE]
No big mystery where mine came from...it's my name turned around...leenie is actually Eileen. I met a man in Arizona not long after moving there in the 80's, when he heard my name he said" I won't call you that, I used to date an Eileen and she was a B---- so I'm gonna call you Leenie." And that's how I got it.

I know what you mean. I've had the nickname of Teddy since I was born and a lot of my friends growing up didn't know my real name until I graduated and they called me up using my real name of Phillip. LOL
I agree! What a FUN topic! my name, as has been said before, has never NOT been available on websites, so it's good. I had tried jestus for a while, but it was taken more often than not, so I just expanded it.
Jest Us was the name of my highly unsuccessful college band. I was real proud of the name until i realized people thought it was Justice, at which point I realized it had a pretty funny thing going on after all.
As I've aged, I find I now associate as much with the humor in my virtual nickname as I do the wish to have SuperMod powers of making people play nice or get booted. I also work in the domestic violence field, so the double meaning has flowed quite nicely with my life's path.

We begin where our ancestors end...but wherefore go our children?
Mine refers to the fact I do love my country and am patriotic even if my government stinks and blows chunks currently, and also to the year the country was founded.

Being an 18thc re-enactor myself, I really your username! I am a patriot as well. My ancestors fought and died for this country. Our country is not perfect and in my mind, never will it be, but we can always remember why our family came here and I will always remain a patriot.
I've been wanting to find somebody locally who has a repro flintlock so I could give shooting one a try.
Indeed. Despite the wide political differences in parts of the great nation, at least we don't have, and probably for a LONG time, not have fathers killing their daughters because they stood up and wanted out of an abusive arranged marriage with a man 20 years older than them.

Mine is sadly simple. First initial and last name....though I didn't realize it would look like an I it is infact an L
After getting married I changed all of my frequently used accounts to this username or created the new ones with it..I tried being creative at one point, coming up with different usernames and could never remember them all! With everything requiring one anymore....So I go by the KISS (keep it simple stupid) rule

Mine is my first name. I think my parents hated me. Most people can not pronounce it, so I had it legally changed to Donna while I was in grad school. Anyway I'm told it means, flowers in the wind..go figure..
Ok, mine is lifted from my dog,a solid black border collie, with just a dusting of white under her chin. Not that I'm a dog nut,but it just seemed kind of fitting. She was kind of the outcast from her litter, so was I.
since i'm usually a prankster or a jokester, shenaniganz just kinda seemed to fit and 24 and 7 have been numbers I have used in all sports in my life. plus it means i pretty much joke around every hour of the day haha
