I have been looking at the forums for a few days now and was wondering about something. In the special interests forum, there isn't anything for crafts like quilting or costuming or anything like that - even paper crafts, building crafts, that kind of things. I am interested in starting a forum like that, but wanted to know if there is a way to do a poll beforehand to see if anyone would be interested in something like that being started up? There isn't much sense in starting one if no one will contribute Are you able to set up a poll to ask if anyone would be interested in a forum dedicated to crafting of any kind (myself, I would love the quilting/sewing one but there are so many associated with the Celts/Ren Faires, etc)? Or should I just start one and see what happens? Let me know what your thoughts are on this.
Thanks so much for the input so far! What I am envisioning is a forum where people can chat about all the crafting they love. So, everything from woodworking and jewelsmithing to quilting or whatever else folks want to talk about. I seem to remember there was one member here who actually made rings, etc. Given how much art and crafting was a part of life in the time of the Celts and continues to be a very important part of their societies I thought it might be cool to have a forum on this.

I don't know that I would have much to contribute in this type of forum as I do not consider myself much an artisan/craftsman but I would enjoying reading from those who are!

Grateful am I to have a sword in which to defend myself at all times, blessed am I for the days I need not use it.
I'm with McRoach. I don't dabble in a lot of Arts & Crafts but I would really enjoy reading and learning things from others. Who knows I might find a project that I would like to attempt.
