| Hi My name is Keith Jessiman, my decendants are from Huntley,James Jessiman 1640 is as far as i can go back through to me and my brothers . Does anybody have the coat of arms of the Jessimans? I know the name comes from the makers of the jessi strap used in falconry,this and any other info would be greatly appreciated in my endeavour to creat our family tree. KJ |

| A quick search shows Jessiman to be a sept of Clan Gordon. Couldn't find a coat of arms, but found a clan badge at http://tartanclancrest.com/free-jessiman-clan-badge.html . I suspect that that site may be taking advantage and offering spurious badges for names that don't have one. Further search shows you would wear Clan Gordon tartan and I believe that you would also use a Gordon badge. See http://www.house-of-tartan.scotland.net/scripts/tartan/tfinder.exe for tartan and other info (check their home page). You may of course choose what you wish. |
