May those who love us love us And those who don't love us May God turn their hearts, And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May He turn their ankles, So we'll know them by their limping.
Sorry about my friend Dundee, I was suppose to be watching him but was busy with the new rawhide bone he gave me.
I hope you enjoy this place as much as the rest of us do. It is full of great people, good music, end enjoyable conversations. So once again welcome to Mac's place.
Hi Megan, and welcome! You have stumbled upon a gem in a sea of shiny things, and I'm sure once you start gazing upon this gem, you'll see what a truly rare and beautiful one it is! Good music, great people, and one of the most professionally run forums on the web. Now the only thing left for you to do is to start posting!!

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge. ~Mark Twain

Warmest welcomes When I saw your handle I somehow knew Dundee would be falling over himself to make sure he welcomed you Not to find shame, harm, or folly in his opinion of red-headed lasses. He at least seems to be mostly harmless
Welcome to Celticradio.net, and feel free to dive right in!

I'm glad you found us! We have have alot of Irish music on our broadcast as well as Scottish, Welsh and Celtic music. Sort of a wide range of musical taste for any moment.
I notice that you have done some research on your family. Did they immigrant from Ireland to California, or have you been able to retrace their routes?
Welcome Redheaded Lass, glad to have you here. I see you're from California; northern or southern? My older son is just east of San Francisco (Contra Coasta County I think.) Hope you enjoy the music and the company.

Again, Welcome!
Thank you for the many warm welcomes! This feels like the place you've been looking for, but don't know you're looking for it till you find it. And I'm glad I found it.
My family initially settled in New York and then a few generations later moved to Illinois. My grandfather moved to California 50 years ago and we've been here since.

Thank you CarolinaScotsman!
I'm in Southern California, east of Los Angeles. Although just two years ago my grandparents relocated north of Sacramento which is quite a bit closer than I am.
