Why So Few Pictures?, Personal photos

I agree, this is so wonderful!! It's terrific seeing everyone finally, and Mac I'm so surprised to see how young you are! I had the same basic idea that OldRaven did. Your family is precious, great pics of everyone!

Let's keep 'em coming everyone. It's a joy to see who we're talking to, and brings us all closer.

Ok, I've been so inspired by this thread that I took some quality time and actually found a better picture of myself and have placed it in my member photo section.

I think the member photo popup needs a little work. Needs to be a little bigger and some better styles, etc.

Hmmm, well Paul, first off, I cannot see your photo, only a larger version of your 'crown'

Secondly, when I go to the Gallery to upload a piccie I get this "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files"

any thoughts?

Try hitting refresh on the photo. The new one should be there. I think there is a slight problem with the refresh on this, but the next day it should be fine when you reboot your computer and it checks for updated version of the page.

On the photo-gallery you need to create a photo-album. Not until you create an album will you be able to upload anything.

Does everyone know about the photo Gallery?
There are some great pictures in there.

Plus there are some wonderful features. Like you can post comments on the pictures (both poster and viewer), you can rate the pictures and you can send the pictures as an email postcard to a friend. It also integrates with our membership database which makes me very happy!

Well, I have searched high and low and cannot find this secret place where one creates a gallery to place piccies into.

That is a good question, I've been wondering too. There's a picture of me in my profile. I'm the short one. It was taken about 2 years ago. I went through some rapid weight gain since then and I haven't really been in pictures since then.

At the top of the page, under Member Services, there is a pulldown menu with Photo Gallery.

At the top of forum there is an icon like this which will take you there as well.

thanks dfilpus but I know how to find the gallery, it's creating an album to upload photos to that I'm having trouble with.

Sorry about that.

Once you get to the galleries, the "My Gallery" button will take you to your own albums. Then the "admin mode" button will take put you in a mode which has a button that says "Create/order my Albums". That will take you to the Album Manager.

It is a bit confusing, since "Admin mode" and "User mode" toggle to each other. I find the Photo Gallery interface confusing, starting with the access from Celtic Radio. I looked in "My Account" and "Community" first, before I found it the first time.

just above that error you get, there should be a button to add an album. it's on the upper lrft of that huge error box.
