I have been listening to this series on National Public Radio (NPR) the past 2 days. The series ends tomorrow. I think it is well done, and gives a nice over view to those not familiar with the religion. And takes some of the macabe out of it.

I listened to today's episode. That one evoked more of a response than the other 2. What I felt more than anything was anger at the interference of missionaries. To want to help people grow crops and have clean water is one thing, but to try to take away part of a culture's identity is unforgiveable. mad.gif

I totally agree! Missionary work seems to be a double edged sword most of the time.

But, I digress.....

It's the anthropologis in us. I can;t stand to see long standing tradition torn down because someone from another continent says "it's wrong". Observe, but don't intefere.
