Just got back from a nice little hike in the Shanendoah National Park in VA. Really nice. I would love to be able to come back here in the Fall when the leaves start changing and do some more longer hikes. But I guess you gotta take what you can get when it's offered to you. At least I got a few more miles in on the AT (Appalachian Trail). At this rate it will onlt take me 99 years to make the "2,000 miler" club!!!!!

Hope things get better soon for you ctbard.

Sitting here in front of the hotel computer while hubby sleeps for we were at the festival and had to come back he started to feel bad.
I think he had a heat stroke, now he sleeps.
Let's hope tomorrow will be a better day.

As far as I'm concerned I had to run to Ostia (Rome), because my daughter was gone by her father without telling me anything about; just left me a sheet of paper where it was written "I'm gone out. Kiss. Kiki"(Kiki is the nickname with I call her from she was born...)She doesn't want to stay in the little town where we live now,she wantto came back to Rome but for me is impossible at the moment.
When I read this message I thought she was with her friends..but I felt something of strange .. So I was in her room and after a while I realized that her trolley wasn't there..
She was just coming back from some days of vacations with her friend and her Mummy...I felt myself so deceived...So , I' m here now in the house of her Dad, with all my kids until tomorrow, that I'll go back home with them...Also Rome is turned out a very dangerous town, specially for a young girl of 13 years .I'm worried about my two oldest kids. O. K my dear LOA I'm going to try to reason out
with her..

What festival were you at LOA? Is your hubby feeling better? I think mine comes home from the hospital today, what was suppose to be a week long stay turned into almost 2 weeks!
So right now I'm just relaxing at my desk with my coffee til I get the call to go pick him up.

Oh, thats right, I saw those, When we had our cottage in N.H. they had a Hot air balloon festival every summer, never did get enough nerve up to take a ride in one.
