I really enjoy the American Film Institute specials, regarding the favorite film, song, comedy, etc...

Tell me - in your opinion, what is the greatest American movie of all time?
Knowing the arguments for any number of films to have that distinction, I feel there is no right or wrong answer.

My vote is for Casablanca. It has any number of things going for it: Bogart, love story, war, intrigue, black and white, etc.

What is your pick?

Too hard.

At the moment, I would say Cold Mountain.
