05/02/08 I had a cat But alas he's dead A good ol' pal named Meat Head At seventeen he passed away It's been a year almost to the day. You know of course that I hate to admit But I kinda lov'd that ol' black kit. As blind as a bat and deaf to boot He had no claws and a runny snoot A bit senile I thought he was He'd run and play and crash into the walls. He'd have his sup then cuddle in Snore for an hour then get up agin To wander the house like an ol' lost soul Till he found his mouse then settle down. At ten o' clock he'd be on the bed Waiting for me with a look that said "What took so long it's time to sleep I've b'n chas'n my mouse and I'm dead beat. He died in his sleep,I'm grateful for that But you know I really do miss That old black cat. Camac |
