I hate to even think of your price. Ours dropped a penny today to $3.88. I have not listened to the markets yet to check on the price of oil futures.

I just saw the inflation rate published in the paper. For the month of May it was .2 percent. Not bad with the exception that the month of February was over 2 percent for that month alone. Now for the BAD news! The .2 percent figure for May was after FOOD and ENERGY were REMOVED from the "computation! Many of the things used to determine the inflation rate, ie: new automobiles, new homes and etc., you do not HAVE to buy! Food and energy are used by everyone. The time has come to flood every government official, elected and otherwise, with mail/e-mails protesting this situation. Phone calls work too.

LETS DO IT!!! There is an election coming.

It's up to $3.94 or 3.95 everywhere around me now. I got gas yesterday and put $30 in and refused to go any higher. My sweetie and I were talking about how we just don't go places anymore simply because gas prices are exhorbitant. I used to volunteer twice a month down at the Shakespeare Tavern but I don't go any longer because I can't afford to drive downtown. I have to keep my volunteer work local. Such a shame.

The price here is $3.87. I do not eat out as much. A friend is down to once a week. I may start going to the Senior center for the conversatiion. Come to think of it, they would pick me up and bring me home. I would be considered a "young pup" there!! Maybe I could even drive the bus.

May I be so bold to post this? I know all these gas prices here in America are a real shame, but quite honestly we have had it good. When I think of our UK and European friends who have had to pay $6.00 to $13.00 a gallon all these years, this really puts things into perspective for me. Our UK and European friends must be laughing at our griping at this point. Just something to think about.

Peace!

Ours is still holding but with the recent price increases on the commodity exchange for crude it will probably go over $4.00 for sure. I certainly missed that one!

I contact my legislators every time crude goes up.

Your rates sound very reasonable... or perhaps not.

I just filled up and gasoline costs here in Finland 1.52 eur per liter. Its about 2.37$ per liter, 10.43$ per gallon sad.gif

In fact... Our gas was 4$ per gallon in the mid 90´s laugh.gif
