- I also can now appreciate the advice I was given at a younger age by my elders (just should have used it more!)
- Healthy, well-adjusted kids - we've been lucky and blessed
- of course my wife too!
- Dark, stout, porter beer
- the time with my friends a lot more since we are all busier now with families
- golf
- Changing seasons
- Travel
- I really appreciate the things I do have, instead of always focused on what I don't.
- A meal at a restaurant, and all the work that goes into it.
- Science
- Genuine nice people
- Celtic Music

As we grow older we reap the benefits of time and experience. They take a lifetime to acquire, develop and understand. You all know the old saying, "Too soon old, too late smart." Time is the one thing I have learned to appreciate the most.

Watching the sun rise.
Watching the sun set.
Watching the moon cycle.
Gazing at the stars.
A good nap in the middle of the day. ( Every day seems like two.)
Irish whiskey.
Stouts, Porters and Bock Beers.
A fine meal and the time to enjoy it.
The chance to study and research anything that interests me.
Watching the children grow into fine adults.
Watching the grand children begin the journey into adulthood.
Music, Art, Architecture and Literature.
My wife, without whom my journey here would be for naught.

It doesn't matter if the glass is half full or half empty, as long as there's whiskey in it...UNK

As I get older I seem to notice the little thing that seemed to be unimportant before as I was trying to get ahead in life. Now I enjoy and appreciate a lot more!

Taking the time to tell loved ones how much they mean to me. Taking every opportunity to let them know they are loved and not taking each day for granted.

Well said. I never pass up an opportunity to tell my children and grandchildren that I love them. We rely on certain things in our lives to be constants but as we age we realize how important and fragile they truly are. The love of a good woman, the precious smile from an innocent child, the feeling of forgiveness we get only from truly forgiving people and of course the Grace of GOD. At my age and station in life, the only thing I take for granted is the fact that nothing is to be taken for granted...Slainte mhath.
