Just curious why Winamp no longer plays Highlander Radio while Live365 works fine. I'm guessing it is a Shoutcast problem but who knows.

I'm not sure but I think Winamp isn't being used anymore by IE, I think its using a program called Windows Media Center now.

Winamp is fully supported. We just sent you an email with all of the details as a premium member.

Just go to your control panel here to find the details under "advanced listening."

As of Dec. 20, 2013, Winamp will be no longer. sad.gif If you have a copy on your PC, it will still work but it will no longer be available for download or be updated or supported. AOL (who bought it from Nullsoft) has pulled the plug. RIP to a truly great player.

Yes, very sad indeed. Without Winamp or Nullsoft there probably would not be any Highlander Radio or Celtic Radio.

Sad to think that Corporate is now taking over and in the future there may not be any more independent stations as the start-up software may not be available.

The death of Winamp/Null software however will not effect us. We've also downloaded the last version of Winamp and nullsoft so we are all set. I don't know if we can legally make available the software, but will check into that.

There was talk of Microsoft buying Nullsoft and Winamp. Havn't seen anymore discussion of this, but it would be a good fit into their Xbox product and possibly lack of internet radio products.

Will see....
