I haven't turned on a TV in weeks...the music on here is great to work to.
I have alot of paper work at night so I usually turn it on and do my computer posting while I listen...don't need TV anymore except for Baseball and Football games...

The first two or three days after I found this site, I would would leave when I wasn't on the Forum now I just leave it in the background what ever I am doing. Like several other folks, I'm not much of a TV watcher; Avalanche Hockey, some baseball and football (not a lot), and occasionally the History Channel. Otherwise I have always preferred radio because I can do other things while listening. TV is such a time waster. Love this music.

I don't listen to much radio or watch TV anymore, Highlander Radio is the only station I can listen to atm, and here lately it's been on almost constantly when I've been home. Such a pity that they won't let us stream it at work. I broke the rules Saturday and hooked a pair of speakers to my hardware mp3 player at work, I had one person outright thank me, introduced some others to the genre, and then I think some others just silently enjoyed it. maybe I should dump some Celticradio to it and take it in that way =) Just a thought. note.gif

I found Highlander radio when I was searching for some Scottish fiddle or bagpipe tunes to include in a chart I was arranging. Now I check in at least once or twice a day to have a listen, read the forums and then leave it on while I post on other forums.

But have to turn it off when I work on other music projects.

I'd like to hear more music by Regimental Bands and the like, for homework purposes. There's nothing finer than listening to Scots rudimental drumming. I've been around percussion ensembles pretty much all my life and listening to the "Scotch Snap" (16th and dotted eighth) played on a real tight drumhead is still a real treat...so much different than your usual Frank Arsenault-type American rudiments.

Oh, and more ceildeh stuff.....I trip heavy on instrumental ensembles ala The Chieftans and others...Paddy Mahoney made me learn to play pennywhistle (I still have a copy of O'Neill's 101 Irish fiddle tunes, though it's pretty shopworn by now)and I suppose one of these days I'll learn the Irish harps like the late Derek Bell....weird things for a brass player to even consider....but then again, I play the didg, too. However, I suck as a fiddle player.

But of course, on HIGHLANDER RADIO, it's all good!

My iMac is in my dining room/office area, so I listen a lot while cooking. I love to bake things. I wish I could listen to it in my car :-(

It's Nice being theBoss, I went to the Office lastnight and connected one of the spare comps to the sound system as you can guess, it now plays through the entire office, that 3000 square feet of Fantastic Music! So far I have gotten 3 calls from the office saying they love it.
Blessed Be,
Angel

I listen every chance I can. I especially like tunes with the great highland pipes and the clips from the movies. Right now they're playing the Clumsy Lover. Great tune. So far I haven't heard and Galacian pipe tune............ I'm sure our celtic-spanish brothers would like to hear some, right Herrerano, mi amigo?
