"May your stuffing be tasty May your turkey plump, May your potatoes and gravy Have nary a lump. May your yams be delicious And your pies take the prize, And may your Thanksgiving dinner Stay off your thighs!" -Anonymous

"May those who love us, love us. And those who hate us, may God turn their hearts. And if he doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping." -Celtic Proverbs
Grateful am I to have a sword in which to defend myself at all times, blessed am I for the days I need not use it.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our family everywhere! It may be Thanksgiving holiday here in the states but everyday everywhere should be Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time for us to give thanks for the harvest and for all our blessings. RebeccaAnn
"I am a Canadian by birth, but I am a Highlander by blood and feel under an obligation to do all I can for the sake of the Highlanders and their literature.... I have never yet spoken a word of English to any of my children. They can speak as much English as they like to others, but when they talk to me they have to talk in Gaelic."

Save Room
As meals go, Thanksgiving dinner Is always a feast--a five star winner. Here comes the salad, dressed just right, The golden brown turkey--a savory delight;
The stuffing now, and then the gravy, The jello mold, all wiggly and wavy. Take some cranberry sauce and candied yams; Is there room for fresh made rolls and jams?
More dishes tempt me; ah, but I Must save some room for pumpkin pie!
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
Not only are we more thankful, but the first. Thanksgiving in North America was first celebrated in 1578 by Martin Frobisher in Newfoundland, 42 years before the Pilgrims made it to Plymouth Rock. The big difference is he celebrated not the harvest but the fact that he and his people made it back from searching for the North West Passage. "THE ROCK" (NFLD/LAB.) must have looked damn good to him.
